Nick Nolte Crashes in Hawaiian Airport

Dripping in sweat and barely able to keep his bloodshot eyes open, a handlebar-mustached Nick Nolte stunned travelers at the Kauai Airport this week -- by passing out cold on the terminal floor!

TMZ obtained these photos taken by one of Nolte's fellow passengers, who told us that the incoherent actor drifted in and out of consciousness on the airport floor for more than two hours Monday night, after their flight was delayed because of engine problems.

According to the source, Nolte was still extremely friendly despite his groggy state -- chatting celeb mugshots -- click to launchwith fans and allowing passengers to snap photos, however, he wasn't entirely functional. "At one point we helped him put a dollar in the vending machine."

Calls to Nolte's rep were not immediately returned.

91. Some people are afraid of flying and take tranquilisers before a flight to help them cope. If Nick had fallen asleep in his seat on the plane nobody would have thought anything of it. He was sweating because it's summer and he was in the tropics. Leave the guy alone.

92. Nick, you are a great actor and a lot of people respect you, I wish all the best for you. Please beat the alcohol and enjoy life again.

94. How nice of his "fellow passengers" to come to the aid of a fellow human being who was having a tough time of it. No doubt that fine young gentleman smirking and pointing was saying, "I'm about to get out of my chair and help Nick Nolte onto a proper seat. He's drunk and I'm going to save him from making too much of an ass out of himself. Besides, he's on the floor and he could use a hand."
Note to the person who gloated about stepping over Nolte because you were late: Maybe, if you keep playing your Karma Cards this way, someone will do the same favor for you some day.

95. Who do (most) of you people think you are? I suppose that most of you think that you are better than this man. That you are stronger willed and that therefor, this could never happen to you. Who are any of you to judge this man, or any human being -- never having walked as much as one step in anyones shoes but your own. Both feeling sorry for, and better than, are judgements -- and naive ones at that.

Whether he likes being in this physical/mental state, or not is his business. I know that most of you think that life is all about you, while you probably even believe that what you think is true. I promise all of you this: life will eventually kick all of your asses. Until then -- good luck!

Peace!

97. What a shame. He is such a wonderful Actor. I hope the people around him care enough to get him the help he needs.

98. Give him a break. I saw Nick Nolte at the airport before these pictures were taken. He went through security right after me. They stopped him and searched him pretty thoroughly and he did not seem loaded. He stood straight and steady while they searched him with the wand. He also walked with no problem right past me, no staggering or obvious impairment.

The Lihue Airport on Kauai is has no A/C for the most part and the air was suffocatingly hot and humid. I come from Arizona and I found it intolerable and was dripping with sweat myself (I don't drink). And at that time of the night the airport waiting areas are packed with travelers who have checked out of hotels and have no place else to go while awaiting late flights. So the waiting areas are full of people sitting and laying all over the floor. So, maybe he had been drinking while awaiting for the plane to take off, but who can blame him?

99. You gotta give Nick credit for one thing -- he has been drunk for 25 years but after a little hair of the dog to cure the hangover he goes right back on set and performs with tremendous commitment to every film he ever signed to do, and he has starred in more than 3 dozen films during those years. No, you gotta give him credit for two things. He is also one of the most talented character actors ever, one of his greatest character performances being, my favorite, "Doc" in the film version of John Steinbeck's Cannery Row and it's sequel novel Sweet Thursday. And I think I will also give him credit for being honest and not pretending not to be the juicer and druggie that he is. I doubt if he will ever be broke and resident of a skid row dive, but if he ever is I am sure he will be as content there as in his Malibu mansion.

100. Poor Mr Nolte..........A few years ago I seen him make a fool out of himself in a Norwich Conn. bar after a days shoot . I kinda knew that he had problems then. In later years the famous mug shot. Its sad that he doesnt want or cant get sober. Help is every where all he has to do is ask. All that talent wasted. I dont know what to say.........Hes such a nice guy when he is sober............

101. Those people in the airport that took pictures of him or joked with him and thought it was amusing - what kind of sickos are they? I am sure they have never been drunk before? Someone should have tried to get him some help or at least help him lie down somewhere rather than make fun of him and leave him rolling on the floor. I dont find it amusing to poke fun or other peoples problems or misfortunes. They were no better than he was and he obviously has a problem that needs to be taken care of. What was their excuses???

102. #92 annab and others, sorry, but ,it is not a diesease, IMHO. It is easy today to place a name or blame on things to make us feel better.. Pre-menstural syndrome, post menstural syndrome, .post-partum, post-partum psychosis, pre post-partum, pre-post-partum psychosis, psdue-post-partum and and drugs and drugs and alcohol are a disease. We ,society has done this name calling, rather than face up and own up to the root of the problem. Pregnancy is not a walk inthepark or shouldbe treated as a temporary condition. It is serious. Women's lib , we have programmed ourselves that pregnancy is not an illness .
Drugs and alcohol are addictive. These drugs are made that way naturally That is why they are drugs. one has to SEEKOUT a drug. It does not befall one like a disease: cancer, diabetes, lupus, chicken pox, etc. No one says, "Um , I am going get me some of that breast cancer. I love me some breast cancer. I love the feeling that it gives me. I get a high from the radiation. Laying on that mat and frying. Try it. The pain killers after surgery were great. Loved. loved them!! Hey you guys, I am selling breast cancer at $5.00 a cell. Call me-1tit @555-1538 "
Drugs and alcohol are additive. Some people cna rid their bodies of these drugs faster than others can. Some people can drink and not have a problem with alcohol. Some people have no problems with pregnancy ,gain no weight, and can breast feed like turning on afaucet. Other people are totally opposite. Some of us have had breast cancer , detected early and are fine. Other people, not so lucky.

Eveybody's body ,brain, genes, chromosomes, and luck are different.****
