Lindsay Lohan Officially Booked

In one of the most under the radar moves she's ever made, Lindsay Lohan quietly walked into the Beverly Hills PD station late Thursday afternoon to be officially arrested for her May DUI.

According to the official Los Angeles Sheriff's Department website, Lohan was held in custody for about an hour around 4:00 PM, until she was released on her own recognizance -- routine for a first time DUI offender. Police sources tell TMZ that Lohan was "very pleasant and cooperative."

Lohan was charged with driving with a blood alcohol level greater than .08 and misdemeanor hit and run, this according to the Beverly Hills PD. Sources close to the case tell TMZ that this was simply a routine process, as often times people arrested for driving under the influence are simply cited and released.

For now, Lohan is scheduled to be back in court on August 24.

92. I had a friend, a very fine and dedicated police officer named Gary Davis in Michigan who was killed in the line of duty by a drunk driver. Driving under the influence kills people and devistates the people who love them. If you are caught driving drunk or on drugs you should receive a prison sentence. I don't care if you are rich, poor, pregnant, rehabed or whatever - you should serve time. There should laws in place that says that money cannot "buy" your way out of the situation. This grown woman (she's 21 now) needs to learn her lesson - she's no different than the rest of us tax-paying Americans. In fact, most of us are better than her - we actually contribute something meaningful to society.

98. What happened to the "small usable amount " of coke found in the car? Let me guess, she 's not being charged right? If it was my ass, I would be sitting in jail as we speak!!

99. What about charges for the cocaine found in her vehicle? Is that going to be forgotten because she is a hugh Hollywood star? My opinion is the reason she stayed in rehab for extra time was to pave her way to a lesser sentence. She knows what she is doing and knows she will get away with it.

101. I Love Lindsay but I think the judge should have her donning a sandwich board on Hollywood Blvd. with the statment " Drugs and Drinking BAD!! Shame Shame Lindsay ! You have just given Late night talk show hosts and comeidans material to work with for months.
