TMZ has obtained a photo of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie on the set of "The Simple Life," with one-time Oscar nominee Sally Kirkland in full-on blackface and an afro! Cards and letters to Ms. Kirkland! As TMZ reported in May, Nicole talked Kirkland, who plays a drama teacher, into donning the controversial getup to portray Lionel Richie in an episode of the reality show. Paging Rev. Al!

While the racy episode airs July 29 -- the fallout starts now!

18. This is not "blackface". Perhaps you should do some research into the history of blackface before you start making stupid controversy over NOTHING. Every five minutes on Fox News there is significantly more racism going on than this. This isn't racism, it is a costume in which the person in question is white and they are portraying a person who happens to be black. Until you provide some 'step 'n fetchit' video please leave it alone. I know you are angry at Al but get over it. And yes, your 'scandal' regarding Al is ridiculous but it is closer to racism than this.

19. How could Nicole say she loves Brenda and Lionel and agree to Sally Kirkland dressing up in black face? Just goes to show she is not black, no matter that Brenda and Lionel adopted her when her own parents could not or would not stop getting high long enough to raise their own daughter. What a smack in the face to Brenda and Lionel.

Paris has already been outted as a racist. Nothing she does surprises me.

24. i don't know what to think, i just KNOW that Paris and Nicole aren't funny to me and i don't watch that crap to begin with. in my opinion blackface in this time isn't funny and is OLD. why was it funny when Dave Chappelle was in whiteface, why was it funny when the Wayans were dressed up as white girls in White Chicks, but why is it not funny when a white person is in blackface? i don't know, but MAYBE it has something to do with back in the 30's blacks would HAVE NO CHOICE but to perform in blackface in order to appear before a white audience. NOW having a white person in blackface just seems offensive. i never watched the Simple Life because Nicole and Paris are "simple minded" and i will not reinforce the stupidity, so really what they have on their show does not matter to me.

27. She's dressing up like a RICH black man and impersonating Lionel Ritchie at a DRAMA camp. If this is racism (which it's not) then the Wayans brothers are guilty also. What about all the Mexicans they dressed up as Chinese people during war movies in old Hollywood movies. You are really grasping at straws here TMZ.
