Protestors: Vick's Sick

Animal rights protesters are angry over Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick's alleged involvement with an illegal dogfighting ring. Vick was indicted on Tuesday for federal dogfighting charges.

Around 75 animal-loving members of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals demonstrated in front of the NFL's New York offices on Friday calling for Vick's suspension, reported the Daily News. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has yet to rule on Vick's status.

The Humane Society of the United States held a similar protest at Nike's Portland, Oregon, headquarters. Nike recently decided not to release its newest Vick shoe, though it has seven other Vick-related items in production.

17. This is not pet control, this is nothing like what happens at the animal shelter, and this is absolutely devoid of any sign of humanity. I am an avid football fan, but I am a bigger of fan of preventing cruel treatment of ANYBODY OR ANY ANIMAL. I will be boycotting the NFL and Nike, as well any other product Vick may endorse, until he is completely removed from all of his contracts.

Pit bulls at most shelters cannot be adopted out because you can never tell whether idiots like Vick have taught them to fight.....but im sure thats the dogs fault right?? You, obviously are just as ignorant as he! Maybe someone should attack you...and if you cant put up a good fight, you should just be drowned or slammed to the ground...theres justice!!!

20. I hope he is made to pay for his crimes.
Poor excuse for a human being.
I guess it didn't occur to him to do something good with his time instead.
Something to benefit the world maybe.

28. I have sent an email to the atlanta falcons about an immediate suspension or even better kicking him off! This is not the first time he has been in trouble with the law! and we do not want our kids looking up to this SICK SICK man! GO TO atlantafalcons.com then about us and contact us and send an email expressing your angry to this situation and why they have not done anything about it! I will protest the NFL and NIKE until they do something about it. Cause if they dont then they are excusing what he has done, and obviously not animal lovers and dont care anything about it.

29. You idiots really think Nike knew?

Besides, he has not been found guilty yet. I'm not defending Vick or dog fighting, but to bring harm or even suggest to bring harm to Vick is just as wrong as what he is accused of doing.
You all are on a witch hunt, and he has not been found guilty yet.

Peta, at times, is just as radical, and violent as the terrorists/criminals we are trying to keep out of our country free of. Sometimes over hearsay. So lets all jump on the bandwagon, and hang him high. You dolts.

Whats wrong with you people? Why all the hate? If hes guilty, get him help, and punish him, and I agree it should be severe, but then lets just MOVE ON!

I'm disgusted with the NFL.
