He has not changed his pompous attitude since he was VP...If he was really serious about being "green", I would expect him to step down to the all the other people who are working on the "green" issue....but he rather play the "emperor role" and ask for complete control...He should sell his current home and be more energy effective, if he truly is into the "geen" culture..

66. Those of you jealous-types who only come in here to berate people are obviously ill-informed. Anyone who has taken an environmental science class in THE LAST TEN YEARS would KNOW that global warming is not something someone just made up!

I'm fifty years old and they were talking about it when I was a kid so if you believe that Gore "invented" it you're sadly mistaken.

Here's a suggestion... get off the Internet and GO OUTSIDE FOR A WHILE! Then follow that with watching Mr. Gore's movie. You might learn something.

73. After listening to Al Gore on Earth Day and as a joke I changed the light bulbs in my kitchen to those curly flourescent things. My light bill is pretty consistent and to my surprise it was $20 lower the next month. The kitchen lights are the ones most frequently left on in our house. So I have a supply and plan to switch out the rest of the bulbs as they burn out which seems to be more frequently as the years go by. It took a couple of days to get used to the flourescent but now we don't notice.

As far as how much he makes on these speaking engagements, so what? He gets what he gets. It's a market economy.

The days when someone writes a book or makes a movie (like An Inconvenient Truth or Sicko) and expects the rest of us to cower and bow down to say "Well, that's the way it really is" are long gone. We have access to far more information via the internet (scientific papers etc) and participate in forums like this. No more can someone on either the right or left BS people to make a buck, or sway power over what we think or believe. Gore and other propagandists from all sides of the political spectrum are very slow to recognize this.
