Katharine McPhee Gambles on Vegas

She is a very pretty girl but a one hit wonder as far as singing. Had Simon not picked "... Rainbow" for her, she would have been gone. She was the Haley of her season, with a slightly better voice. She is "cured" of her eating disorder, magically when it suits her publicly. That does not happen that way in the real world. She sells her music solely through the pictures of herself. She is not real, the way most of the Idol contestants are... no affect... very full of herself.... just a very ambitious, pretty face who sings like a second rate singer in a supper club way off the strip. Anyone who would compare her to Streisand or Celine obviously knows nothing about music. Note: she conveniently didn't even do the tour, had one or another problem, but was OK enough to appear on TV at the same time. She calculated that... couldn't keep up and couldn't be bothered to fulfill that obligation... she is a user. Wants an acting career... she is not a singer, she can sing, like I can, in the shower. She is just a pretty face who will do and say anything to get her first real acting job, not those bits they give all Idols after the season is over. She is not a sleaze or anything like that, but there is nothing sincere about this very superficial, calculating girl who used a singing contest to become an actress. That is fine,. but don't make her into an artist... if you do, you simple show how naive you are... she is a user. Yes, all Idol contestants "use" the contest. That is what it is there for. McFee knew she was a mediocre singer who looked good. The voters fell for her. Some people here are still falling for the line that she is a singer...Wake up!!!

this girl is relaly desperate for attention..I guess she realised that her voive was mediocre at best, so now she has to find other ways to focus attention on her anorexic fat arse..ahahh

She's absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!! Her voice is amazing, too. And if she's full of herself, she has good reason to be.

That claim about McPhee's father working for FOX is complete B.S. made up by the disgusting green haters filled with envy. Come up with something new. Making fun of someone for once having an eating disorder is about the lowest and disgraceful thing possible. I hope those who made the vile comments here trashing this beautiful and Extremely talented young woman get everything they deserve.

Katharine McPhee has no talent. She had no business being in the top 10 last season. I saw her in concert last year and she was horrible. She got far in AI season 5 because of her looks and Simon liked her. His praises were ridiculous. She is mediocre at best.

She even said herself in an interview that she is not a "nice person". At least she has the guts to admit the truth. She also stated that she's always wanted to be an actress. AI was just the springboard for what she really wants.

She's the skankiest person to come out of American Idol. Her album tanked, so she's got to rely on her looks to get her any farther. She's another Jessica Simpson/Britney Spears in the making. No talent, just looks. And Britney's looks aren't so hot these days.

She's on her way to being a megastar.

Okay. I need to laugh and I feel so much better. The "singing" career is RIP and I don't expect much from the "acting" career. She needs to put out a sexy calendar right now.

Katharine is amazing ! She is beautiful and has a great voice. Her album is incredible and she will be a star for a long time. She has a very clean image unlike many of the other popular young singers today. She seems to have a great heart and care genuinely about other people. Congratulations Kat on all of your success.

BTW Bunny (comment #75) you obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Katharine missed the first few dates of her American Idol tour and when she was well she finished the tour. She was not on TV while she was sick and missing the tour. It's amazing to me what people will make up or say that is so untrue. Please people, if you don't like Kat you are entitled, but if you're going to post something, make sure it's true. Also, if you dislike her so much why are spending so much time reading articles about her and keeping track of what she is doing. She obviously has a hold on you too ! Ha

Just checked... Bart... you're missing objectivity and information... McPhee missed all of July, came back, hurt her leg almost immediately, then who knows... I stopped paying attention. During her "sick time", she was all over the tube, with photo shoots, on the View, trying out for movie roles she did not get, what ever... I just can't understand the admiration for someone who uses a pretty face for a lack of talent, and then there are so many people who fall head over heels for the act... It is Haley or Kelli Pickler or anyone of the "Bad girls of Hollywood." Talent should be the basis of admiration, that and hard work. Daughtry, Yamin, Hudson, even Hicks are all hard working musicians, not just a face.

I would just like to mention that she missed a lot of her american idol tour not a few dates almost all of it she missed. She has a habit of missing things she booked for. This girl is selfish and has always had an attitude that shes gods gift and snobby..
