Britney's Shopping Trip Turns Chaotic -- Cops Called

There was pushing, there was shoving, there was flower crushing -- all because of Britney Spears.


Moments ago, all hell broke loose outside of Lisa Kline clothing store in Beverly Hills, as Britney's bodyguard desperately tried to clear a path from her car to the store. According to several on-scene witnesses, a gang of overzealous photogs went wild trying to score a shot of Spears as she bobbed, and, ahem, weaved her way into the place. Witnesses claim that the bodyguard and sea of photogs violently pushed back and forth as Britney and her new assistant tried to dash inside.

TMZ was told that LAPD was called, but the crazy scene had already calmed down before they arrived. Cops checked in with Spears at her next stop. No one was reported injured, but there were definitely a few pricey casualties -- including a $4,000 flower bed in front of the store, which was crushed during the melee, and the bodyguard's shirt was torn.

Inside the store, Britney didn't seem to be bothered by the mess. Sources told us that she was, "a delight ... she was very sweet."

Afterward, the chaos continued as Britney tried to get back to her car. Brit's massive bodyguard plowed a path to her Benz, while the gargantuan beast roared for snappers to move. They did.

I guess you have internet disease, Gail; you apparently don't read things all the way through before spouting off. As I stated before, twit-ney has choices of where she can go to shop. She has unlimited resources, and could shop anywhere she wanted (Beverly Hills is NOT the only place to shop and may not be the coolest place to shop anyway), but she (being a media whore) PURPOSELY chose to shop in the one area that would cause the most amount of media coverage & potential confrontation. She knew this, given that she hired BODYGUARDS in advance, knowing full well that she would cause a media event, and would need them. Again, my point being SHE created this media event, she controlled it, she counted on it, then she implimented it. She can't just sit by the side of the road, after purposely creating the event to benefit herself, and say "golly gee, I didn't know what was going to happen". BS, she knew exactly what could happen, and she should be held accountable. PERIOD.

Better yet, Leave L.A., you're not wanted here. And for the Paps, I hope they introduce new legislation to control regulate you space invaders. You're trashy too.

I was on the phone with my best friend who lives nr robertson blvd, and she drove right past the papparazzi and I knew righ then and there that it was britney - oh lord, if I was there, my chance to meet her personally - britney come to washington dc / hang out here get away from the madness of LA

51. yes diana was as much of an attention whore as britney is, that's one ofd the main reasons she is dead. she lived her life in the press and it cost her that life. if britney doesn't get some common sense she will wind up just where diana is-6 feet under.

52. And these paps arent upstanding citizens either!!! Alot of them have records and have been in jail! And the celebs dont get bodyguards just cause they want the attention! They do it cause they are scared of what these people will do! To twitney! until you walk in a celebs shoes and until you meet her, you should not have so much hatred for someone you only know through the press and media! I think its pathetic what the paps do! you dont even know her personally so how can you act like you know whats going on in her head! you said she called the paps, and enjoys the attention! MAYBE she enjoys a good time or shopping trip! Unless you was there you cant say for sure! SO thats your OPINION!

54. TUNA MARIE!!! thats just wrong to say! you shouldnt talk about the dead! AND diana was a great woman and did a h*ll of alot more for this world than you will prob ever even coinsider doing! 56. And further she's caught with her son on her lap once again behind the wheel of her car. Stomps out to tell paps that it's illegal for them to follow. Hello -- the only illegal is her attempt once again to try to drive off with the kid on her lap. If she would shut the f**k up about where she is going every minute of the day -- maybe as public citizens, we would not have to be exposed to every freckle & hair on the sluts body.

I honestly do not understand why the authorities have not stepped in to remove her children. She is putting them at harms way and should not be the custodial parent as she can't act responsibly for herself, so why is she able to act responsible for them.

K-Fed should get his a$$ back in Court and deal with this now.

I also wish the paps would leave the slovenly twit alone when she is out shopping for clothes. Leave her be! Let her shop! Please! She may actually wear the clothes and that would be a blessing for all of us! No more muffin top and crusty cellulite shots!

59. So let's see. Earlier today, Britney was a horrible mess at a photo shoot, apparently crazy, drugged, and insane, from the reports on this site. Then later, at a store shopping, she was reported by the store clerks to be very sweet and nice. Also, no police reports about arresting her for anything illegal or of taking her into custody because she was deranged, as she apparently must have been at the OK shoot, from reports on this website.

I think I'll take the story about her being very sweet and not causing any trouble, since there were more witnesses to that, included policement, clerks, more photographers, and probably other people on the street and in the store.

Yeah, I'll believe that before I take the word of a TMZ "insider," who most likely pocketed some cash from TMZ for creativity.

60. Britney, if you were my daughter, we'd be having a very long talk. You are beautiful, talented, and can do ANYTHING you want to do, with unlimited resources. Why are you choosing to be out CONSTANTLY, whether it's shopping, stripping at the beach, or whatever it is that you NEED to do everyday. Why not live a more private, classy life? Why not dress in a more classy way? I'm not talking "matronly"....think Reese Witherspoon, and you get what I'm thinking. Somehow you have come to think that less is more....totally not true. If you're tired of the paparazzi being in your face, how about keeping a MUCH lower profile. There are so many celebrity mom's who choose that lifestyle, and we, as the public, respect them so much more. We take them seriously.
