Kimmel's Benoit Burn Too Hot for TV

There is a line you can cross when roasting Flavor Flav -- and Jimmy Kimmel was the one who crossed it.

During last night's four-letter fest in honor of the "Flavor of Love" star, Kimmel was poking fun at the fact that Flav has several children with several different women, when he said that "Chris Benoit is a better father than you." What, too soon?

A TMZ staffer who was at the roast (airing August 12 on Comedy Central) just happened to be sitting next to two censors for the network. When Kimmel made the crack, the censors looked at each other and laughed while shaking their heads "no." One immediately put down "Chris Benoit" on a list of jokes to cut. Another joke to make the list came at the end, when the Queen of Mean, Lisa Lampanelli, called the "Flavor of Love" girls sprinkled throughout the audience "nappy headed bitches."

C**t, c**ksucker and ni**a were fine -- but current events, ixnay?

32. These days contemporary comedians like Kimmel and Lampanelli don't have the wit or subtetly to engage audiences in laughter, so they resort to the basest jokes they could find. They are outrageous and disgusting. I enjoy offensive humor, but this is over-the-top!

34. Jimmy Kimmel is so hilarious. People are so uptight....IT'S A JOKE! No one thinks Flav is gonna kill his kid. Clearly (cough) he is a better dad than that. But Jimmy Kimmel is sexy as hell!

36. Jimmy Kimmel is as funny as his girlfriend, Sarah Silverman.....pathetic. It is amazing to me that Kimmel is still on television but they also gave Adam Carolla his own show and he must be the unfunniest guy ever on television. Low brow humor is for the talentless, comedic hacks; Kimmel, Silverman, Carolla, Dennis Miller, Bill O'Reilly, etc. It takes a very bright comic to keep the humor fresh and clever without stooping to the levels of Kimmel.

41. Grow up. Anyone that seen any of the Roast on Comedy Central knows that the line isn't crossed because the line doesn't exist. Its not on regular broadcast television, but on pay TV. I'm sure the other comics are just as bad as Kimmel but the only reason its news is that Kimmel is a bit more well known. They are jokes, people. loosen up.

42. To the IDIOTS that are saying "It's a Roast" - we UNDERSTAND it - but there are things that ARE JUST NOT FUNNY. In case you are really too stupid to get it - I think I can speel it out in the SIMPLEST of terms for you:

1. Chris Benoit KILLED his family, then himself
2. No ONE that is NOT Crazy would ever see that as Fodder for a joke/roast/ etc
3. There IS a line in a Roast - contrary to what some believe.

44. Oh please people......he made a joke, a tastless joke but a JOKE!!! Everyone is so quick to get so angry. And what are you getting angry for? This man is a comic. It's what he does for a living. You laugh when he makes fun of other tastless subjects that we shouldn't be laughing at so whats the difference? It's just too bad that Benoit isn't alive today to be put down like one of Vick's dogs for the crimes he committed. If you don't like it, turn the channel.
Besides, have you seen Flav's kids lately? If their anything like Flav...............
