McCready 911 Tape -- "My Mom Is Attacking Me"

Moments before she was arrested in Florida Saturday night, country singer Mindy McCready told a 911 dispatcher that her mother had "attacked" her, and "made marks on herself to make it look like [Mindy] hurt her." A baby can be heard screaming in the background during the entire conversation.

A short time after Mindy made the call, Lee County Sheriffs arrested the singer after they saw scratches on her mother's face and said that McCready's breath reeked of alcohol -- despite Mindy's recorded claim that neither she nor her mother had been drinking or doing any drugs that night.

According to the arrest report, McCready "struggled" when sheriffs arrived, and had to be restrained. During the confrontation, she hit her head on the ground, which caused the gash on her face in the mugshot.

McCready was then taken to jail, where deputies say she was so disruptive, they were forced to use pepper spray to control her. McCready claims the cops abused her, and told a news station that she plans to take legal action.

51. She really isn't even a celebrity anymore. She had two hits in 1996(yeah 11 years ago!) and went straight down hill from there. She's a theiving con and a addict. She was on Oprah blaming her mom for all of her problems growing up, if she thinks that of her, wtf is she doing even being around her?

Get your son a gaurdian,
Get off the drugs and alcohol,
Stay away from your mother,
And get your life in order - go live somewhere that you can get a normal job and settle down!

52. Hmmm . . . women mark themselves up so police have no choice other than to arrest the family member/batterer? I thought they only did that when a male was the alleged abuser. This equal rights krap is g r e a t !

53. PAY ATTENTION, ALL YE SUBSTANCE USERS!! Yes, it CAN happen to you, too - it's just a matter of time! This is what happens when the "Lord of your life" is CHEMICAL instead of SPIRITUAL. And don't give up on Mindy yet. She could still pull through and get her career back into gear. She just needs alot of help and alot of prayer! Brit-Brit and Lindsay, too. Everytime I see these young people splattered all over the news with their substance abuse and breakdowns I can't help but think we are seeing the next Marilyn Monroes and John Belushis, Elvis Presleys, Karen Carpenters (I'm picturing Nicole Ritchie), Janis Joplins and Jimmy Hendrix's, etc.

54. Hey, Mr. blah-blah-blah, you need to look up the word "disease" in the dictionary before you preach on it. Your definition of it is inaccurate. AIDS and Hepatitis are both diseases that can be contracted through plenty of your own fault. In this instance, though, disease is an accurate word for alcoholism and drug addiction as they are both social and emotional plagues.
