In a taping for tonight's episode of "The Late Show," Carey told Dave, "It's a done deal. I'm the new host of "The Price Is Right.'"

47. You people are nuts! Drew will be great at this. He's a great person and damn funny, too. No matter who was chosen, Bob Barker is the toughest act to follow and no one would've made us happy. It could've been alot worse!!!! Give him a chance...IT'S A GAME and we love it.

49. Good news! He has the 'everyman' personality with a great wit. I liked his show, I really enjoyed 'Whose Line Is It Anyway' where he was content to let the other guys shine. I'll keep my fingers crossed that he'll do well.

50. I thought George Hamilton would be the best choice to keep the same audience and vibe.

52. He's a good choice.
He may not be the prettiest contestant, but he is reliable, works hard and will be entertaining to watch as he is very good at improv and thinking fast. Plus he isn't offensive with his humor, and never used his shows as a platform for his political agenda.
I agree with One Tired Mom,he's a true everyman.
Good luck,Drew!

56. He was SO GAY, on "Whose Line Is It, Anyway".
At times, it seemed as if the male performers had to visit the "casting couch", regularly, if you know what I mean!

57. Drew Carey used to be a United States Marine. He could make hash out of Rosie and some of you, if he weren't apparently a gentleman and a gentle soul.

58. Great! A fat a*s ugly Republican taking over...couldn't they have found someone a little more lively? More middle-of-the-road? More anything that D.C. is not? I guess CBS really does knows how to keep the geriatric demographic firmly in their camp!! I'll bet my Grandmother and her ladies group are thrilled!!

60. Go Drew! Congrats! At least it isn't Rosie who wanted to make the show HER OWN instead of what has been established for so many years! Drew has some mega shoes to fill--he can pull it off.
