The "Price Is Right" for Drew Carey!

Comedian Drew Carey confirmed to David Letterman today that he is indeed going to take over for Bob Barker as host of "The Price Is Right."
Drew Carey
In a taping for tonight's episode of "The Late Show," Carey told Dave, "It's a done deal. I'm the new host of "The Price Is Right.'"

Drew told Dave that he found out the deal was complete while he was waiting to come out for the show. The deal is so fresh, Drew doesn't even know when he begins!

61. I think he is the best choice out of the candidates. He'll be much different, but nobody will ever compare to Bob.

64. Hey Das it, Drew isn't a Republican. He's a Libertarian, which is better than a Republican. BTW, not everyone will agree w/ your politics, so you might as well get used to it.
Drew's a great choice. MUCH MUCH better than Rosie! She would've destroyed the show.

67. Drew's a much better choice than the VERY OLD George Hamilton or the EGOTISTICAL John O'Hurley. Rosie would have been interesting, however.....

68. Carey will do fine. Good choice.

69. Perfect: game show experience with "Who's Line" and comic relief ability. Rosie would have left multiple staff firings and divisions in the ranks, in her wake.

70. Hey glassa...I am more than used to disagreeing viewpoints and I have no problem with anyone expressing theirs. I'm just so sick of the partisan BS. If DC is a Libertarian, it's a change for him: he, Patricia Heaton, and a few others were featured in a recent (within the last year) article about Republicans in Hollywood and how they deal day-to-day with the rampant liberalism that runs the industry.

Peace.

73. I bet 90% of those who posted don't watch the show, unless they work nights or tape it. Most men don't watch daytime shows (like all the negative post about Rosie and the View, just listen to the garbage on faux network and TMZ) and have no clue the price of anything. The contestants on these shows don't give a rats a&& who the host is, they just want to win prizes.

74. That's so true, about some of us not watching the show. So why bother?
Just think Drew Carey is a porcine pest!
Maybe if he came out of the closet!

75. Drew is a great guy who isn't full of himself - a joy to watch being interviewed. This I'm sure had a lot to do with his being chosen. But only time will tell if he works out in this position. That's gonna take the right chemistry for the show, not just his wonderful personality.

But if I wish anybody luck, it would be Drew.
