Baby Mama

Forcing QB

Out of the Pocket?

7/24/2007 7:10 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Matt LeinartHe's taken on some of the biggest, baddest men on the planet, but it's his baby mama who's hitting football stud Matt Leinart where it hurts the most -- his wallet!

TMZ has learned that the NFL pretty boy is locked in a raging legal fight with his ex-girlfriend, Brynn Cameron, over the couple's 9-month-old son Cole. According to sources close to the case, Brynn wants Matt to hand over more than $30,000 per month! That's a ton of jack for a 21-year-old living with her parents! According to sources close to the case, Leinart's pissed -- having already bought her a car, as well as voluntarily giving her around six grand a month. Leinart signed a six-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals in 2006 -- reportedly worth around $51 million.

We're told Leinart's also waging a "gung-ho" battle for custody, and recently filed a petition to establish paternity. Sources tell TMZ that the former USC star already "comes back to L.A. once a week, every week, to see the baby," but he wants a schedule where he can see the kid in Arizona as well. Unlike most pro athlete dads who have kids out of wedlock, we're told Matt is an engaged father who wants to be in his son's life.

But Cameron claims she's doing all the hard work when it comes to parenting, telling the Ventura County Star that Leinart "comes and goes whenever he wants ... he likes that Hollywood stuff and I don't like that."

The two are scheduled to hammer it out in court on August 13. Attempts to contact Cameron were unsuccessful. For more sports stories, check out tmzsports.com!

That's crazy she wants more AFTER he signed his mega-million dollar deal. It's not blackmail, but it may as well be "shamemail." What kid needs $30k a month? That's called momma money and the only way that kind of additional $ should be given is in a trust fund in their kid's name when he turns at least 25!!!!

Foreclosed bankrupt working stiff

Oh get a life little girl. I'm 52 yrs old and make $34K a year, about to lose my house. Get a job and use the money for the kid. I'll bet you don't even take care of that kid. Live at home you probably dump it on your parents to raise so you can go out and spread them some more. Try birth control or GET FIXED.

Backdoor Jesus

Well he was an idiot for not wrapping his rascal before putting it through the uprights, but no - as "child support" agreements go that is just ridiculous. His only recourse is to get primary custody of his child and let the money-grubbing baby-mama fend for herself. If she really thinks she can net a 30k/month paycheck for a stupid night of passion, she's dumber than most of the other whores that walk the streets in Hollywood. Matt can afford & ought to take the bitch down-town - custody doesn't just get awarded to the mothers automatically anymore; he can provide a better life for the child than the mother can, so he should be primary custodial parent & SHE can come to visit. And I'm SURE that this is precisely what his attorney will fight for.

He should pay $24,000 a month to a trust fund for the baby. That way it really IS for the baby. My husband and I are raising two kids on a lot less than $30,000 a month (and we don't live with my parents!!!!). She's gold digging.

Proud Where I Come From

Many men will say that she is a hungry money B***H. But lets all remember that it comes from a man to begin with. To all you men out there who want to "BANG" woman after woman you better be prepared to be a daddy!! Im so tired of all these men who are blaming the women for having the baby. Then maybe you "BOYS" should learn to keep it in your pants if your not ready to pay the price!

No im not one of those women i am happily GAY!!

this "baby momma" was his longtime girlfriend from college (she's on the women's basketball team at USC)...."I’m extremely happy with Brynn,” Leinart told Sports Illustrated in 2005. “She doesn’t know the Matt Leinart that’s in the press; she just knows me as little Matty, her boyfriend. I mean, she didn’t even know what a Heisman Trophy was. That’s what I love about her.” That's NOT a gold digger!!! She was his college sweetheart he left behind as the hollywood nightlight came calling.....shame on him.

Many families of 4 or more live very nicely on $6k a month. If she wants more it's to support HER standard of living. Child support is to support the child. $6k (plus a new car to transport the child) is plenty to take care of the baby. You know that it's a two way street too. Women treat getting knocked up by a sports star like it's getting the Golden Ticket.

Futhermore, he's not getting $51 Mil a year, it's $51 Mil for 6 years which means he's making $8.5 Mil a year. A child doesn't need $320K a year. A child needs a warm bed, food, clothes, diapers etc. I'm not saying that he doesn't deserve the best of everything and if I didn't think that the BabyMomma would run out and buy a new Hermes bag with her $30K a month, I'd have less of a problem.... but the fact is, she thinks that she's set for life by having Leinart's baby.... and that's not fair. He's an idiot for knocking her up but she should hold some responsibilty as well.....

First off, Matt and Brynn dated for several years in college. You can assume a couple that is together for that long is off condoms and on the pill. So when she accidently gets pregnant just weeks before he graduates to the NFL ... hmm, I guess she just "forgot" to take it that day. Regardless, Matt is not stupidly irresponsible as he would have been if it was a one night stand, as many seem to believe.

Secondly, they were never married. She is not entitled to spousal support (money to support her lifestyle), but child support (money to buy diapers, baby food, clothes, rent). And the amount has little to do with his net worth--do your children have a claim to your net worth? Of course not, just to childraising expenses and good parenting. So because Matt has a $51 million contract does not mean the child can claim x million dollars. And by the way, doesn't Brynn also have a responsibility to provide financially for the baby? Also, as the USC community knows, she comes from a very wealth family (living with her parents means living in a multi-million dollar Pacific Palisades mansion).

Finally, it should be noted that in Matt's public interviews (which are required by his job) he has had only positive thing to say about his son and Brynn. In Brynn's public interviews (why exactly is she doing public interviews?) she has repeatedly said nasty and vindictive things about Matt.

Sounds like the guy is already doing right by the baby. He's paying $6,000. a month and bought the Mamma a car! Plus it appears he wants to be the father and is filing for custody. What more should he do? You know, just because he's a big star today doesn't mean in 2 or 3 years he'll still be a big star. There is always the possibility of injuries sideling him etc... It's a here today, gone tomorrow kind of career. Getting an award of $30,000. a month is exhorbinate for one child. Even with the $6,000. a month, a mother living home with her parents could continue her education and afford to hire a full time nanny. Sounds like she had the baby to get support for herself.

#1- she’s a mormon, they both would have known how that would end if there was a slip up, any guy dating a religious girl does the math on that one. #2 – maybe she lost her scholarship/financial aid for taking the year off, why shouldn’t he cover her tuition – he talks about being a dad but hasn’t had to take time off to care for the child, he can at least help her get back to school #3 - it says in the linked article that she is going to rent an apt and go back to school, so once you add up regular bills, a nanny, and rent that 6,000 doesn’t get you too far – the nanny will cost at least 3,000/month.

Christine

This lovely young woman has temporarily given up her aspirations and dreams to raise a baby fathered by one of the wealthiest men in the NFL. She's the one up doing midnight feedings while Mr. Leinhart is out on the town. What seems like too much? I've heard she'd like to return to school and her basketball career. Childcare and housing in Los Angeles don't come cheap. She's born the brunt of the load so far - I say pay up Matt.
