Baby Mama

Forcing QB

Out of the Pocket?

7/24/2007 7:10 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Matt LeinartHe's taken on some of the biggest, baddest men on the planet, but it's his baby mama who's hitting football stud Matt Leinart where it hurts the most -- his wallet!

TMZ has learned that the NFL pretty boy is locked in a raging legal fight with his ex-girlfriend, Brynn Cameron, over the couple's 9-month-old son Cole. According to sources close to the case, Brynn wants Matt to hand over more than $30,000 per month! That's a ton of jack for a 21-year-old living with her parents! According to sources close to the case, Leinart's pissed -- having already bought her a car, as well as voluntarily giving her around six grand a month. Leinart signed a six-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals in 2006 -- reportedly worth around $51 million.

We're told Leinart's also waging a "gung-ho" battle for custody, and recently filed a petition to establish paternity. Sources tell TMZ that the former USC star already "comes back to L.A. once a week, every week, to see the baby," but he wants a schedule where he can see the kid in Arizona as well. Unlike most pro athlete dads who have kids out of wedlock, we're told Matt is an engaged father who wants to be in his son's life.

But Cameron claims she's doing all the hard work when it comes to parenting, telling the Ventura County Star that Leinart "comes and goes whenever he wants ... he likes that Hollywood stuff and I don't like that."

The two are scheduled to hammer it out in court on August 13. Attempts to contact Cameron were unsuccessful. For more sports stories, check out tmzsports.com!

Child support is tax free. If $72,000 per year tax free isn't enough for a single mother with one child, then she needs to have her child taken away because she's too stupid to raise a child.

Think about what she's asking for: $30,000 per month for 18 years. That's $6,480,000...tax free. If that's not gold digging, then I don't know what is.

Someone tell that chick to shut her mouth, cash her checks, get a job and keep her legs closed.

I find it interesting that this young woman who made many conscious decisions; the first to engage in unprotected sex resulting in pregnancy; the second to remain pregnant, when clearly she had a choice; and upon making her second decision, she absolutely made her third decision to become a single parent, is now complaining about how the absent parent gets to fly in for a few days and is praised for his involvement, while she if left to do all the real work. Well, what did she think was going to happen? Did she think he would marry her because of a baby? Probably and now it's backfired, and she is left with a child she probably would not have contrived to conceive had the sperm donor been your average working young man.

Clearly, $6000.00 per month in child support can take care of all of the child’s needs which include shelter, food, diapers, utilities, etc. Most single working mom’s in America don’t get anywhere near $6000.00 per month and are able to take care of their children. Oh, don’t forget a mother has an obligation to contribute to the support of her child as well! The father I’m sure will provide healthcare, pay tuition, and any extraordinary expenses, nursery furniture, travel, etc. If the mother’s motives are truly altruistic, she should suggest that any additional monies she is seeking in child support be put into a trust account for the baby with a mutually agreed third party as trustee, and these monies should be doled out at milestone intervals when the child reaches his majority. It is a given the father will pay for the child’s primary, secondary and post secondary education and expenses. So these monies would in fact be a great start in life for the son they both love.

This young man has every right to have the baby visit him at his home, so that he can establish a regular home environment for him and his son, and since he has more discretionary dollars, he should pay for the airfare of the mother or a nanny to bring the baby to him for visits and either fly that person immediately back, or put that person in a hotel for the duration of that visit, especially if the mother is the person bringing the baby. They should arrange a transfer of the child into his custody at the airport or hotel and effect the same reversal of custody at the same airport or hotel. My stepson doesn’t have nearly the financial resources as this baby’s father, and he flies his son and his son’s mom in from Puerto Rico to the Virgin Islands on a Friday, and she immediately flies back to P.R., he keeps the baby for 14 days and he flies to P.R. with the baby Friday evening 2 weeks later to return him to his mother, and custodial transfer takes place at the airport. His son is in a regular daycare program when he is with him, he has a regular sitter for him, and he has friends over for play dates, etc. In Matt’s case I would hire a single nanny to work with both parents for the baby, which creates continuity between the households.

I have suggested to some young male professional athletes that to ensure they become parents by planned choice, make deposits into a sperm bank of their choice, and have a vasectomy, thereby eliminating the unwanted pregnancies, and turning the tables on those women out there who will retrieve the condom and try to impregnate themselves when you thought you were being responsible. And when they have found the woman they want to marry and mix their gene pool with, retrieve your sperm and have her impregnated, without a doubt it will be a planned pregnancy. Young men need to be sexually more responsible regarding birth control and conception. It saddens me to say there are women that will attempt to use pregnancy and children to improve their lifestyles.

And your point is??? I went to SC. I lived near SC for 4 years of school and 2 years of work. If she can't find a place to live and take care of herself and their child for less than $6000 a month then she needs to be kicked out of school.

I will repeat what I said before. Child support is tax free. If $72,000 per year tax free isn't enough for a single mother with one child, then she needs to have her child taken away because she's too stupid to raise a child.

It's not called lifestyle support. It's child support.

A bunch of long-winded nonsense above. You people obviously do not understand California law and the reasoning behind it.

One more time: s l o w l y.

It is not about what she and the baby "need" as a minimum. It is about creating a comparable environment for the child whether he is with his athlete father, or his caregiving mother.

The mother and child will prevail, and all this publicity is a nasty attempt by Leinart's lawyer to intimidate Ms. Cameron. Hopefully, she has a good lawyer, too. And yes, shame on you, Harvey, for being such a tool for Wasser.

I think he should make a trust for the baby. Continue with the ungodly amount of $6,000.00 a month, what is she doing with it? Paying her parents mortgage and bills? What does it matter what he makes. He's over paid like all the rest of the pro athletes. It's ridiculous. No one is worth that much money, I don't care how well they play. Whinning about what he is fixito go through is his own fault, use birth control, you wouldn't be in this mess right now. That girl knew what she was doing, she did it on purpse. Who wouldn't? She knew she was going to be raking in the child support.

Regardless, set up a trust fund and when the kid turns 18 release some of it to him. and then do so every 5 years after that till he turns 30 and then give it to him. She doesn't deserve the money. The child will with the way the world is headed now, it will cost him a fortune if he decides to go to college.

I'm a single mother of 3...the state decides what is the child support based on the amount of income and the percentage each earns of that. I only get $790.00 per month for 2 teenagers. $6,000 is more than enough for daycare, clothes, insurance and a decent mortgage. She just wants more than her fair share. They are both supposed to be responsible adults. I'm sick of people wanting money for doing nothing.

I'll say it S L O W L Y one more time Carrie. $6000 per month tax free is more than enough money for a single mother of one to "create a comparable environment for the child." That's almost 1.3 million dollars of free money by the time the kid is 18. A 30 year mortgage on a $500,000 condo/house is $3500. Are you telling me that she can't live on $2500 extra per month when her school, car, and meal plan are all paid for by the school and Matt Leinart already? If she can't make sure the kid is fed, clothed, housed, and cared for with that amount of money then maybe she should sign away custody to the father.

"Creating a comparable environment for the child" doesn't mean she gets to live his lifestyle. They didn't get a divorce so she's not entitled to half or even a good portion of his income. Right now she's being a money hungry, bitter, worthless piece of crap. She needs to get her lazy ass back into school, graduate, and then get a real job....you know, the kind that doesn't involve having kids in attempts to suck a multimillion dollar future out of an athlete.

Carrie

That's where you're wrong. Actually, she does get to lead a comparable lifestyle as long as she is providing that for the child.

I rather doubt she's bitter. She sounds like a healthy, happy, proud, loving mother.

On the other hand, you do sound bitter, jealous, and ignorant.

Why do educated men in America pretend that they don't know about/understand child support? If you are in a relationship and you have sex, you are taking a risk of having an unwanted pregnancy. If you wanna play, you gotta pay -- and you can pay now or you can pay later but you're gonna pay. What's so hard to understand about that?!!! At $6000 per month, that's $72,000 per year. He's making how many millions??? His child deserves to be brought up in the same lifestyle that he will be living. Shame on Matt for expecting anything less...

Practical one

Matt - if you are going to sleep with women with your status you have to be practical and guarded in your approach.

At the very least she needs to be hot! This one looks less than ordinary. The world will at least understand if she is like Jessica Alba hot! And its something you can be at peace with. Bottom line- you at least owe it to your son to have a a hot talented mom!

Come on Matt - 5 years at USC, right? LOL

Huh?

I'm researching why people are so violently emotional about people they don't know.

Can any of you explain your interest in these people to whom you have no connection?

And why do you think the language on all the boards (this board is not as bad as some) is as extreme as it is? And so judgmental?

Do people not proofread, or is their splling and grammar really as bad as it appears? Is poor spelling and grammar just generally accepted and not used to judge the intelligence of those writing the posts? I know I do get carefuless on my own emails.

Do people post during work hours, knowing employers can, with a touch of a button, trace every site you have been on, and every key stroke you have made....this is legal.

How many hours do most of you posters spend online discussing celebrities?

What is more interesting to you.....passing judgment on the celebrities or on each other?

By the way, can anyone tell me wash "GASH OUT" means?

As you can see, I am just surveying some of the online message boards and don't understand a great deal about them.

Any enlightnment you can provide would be interesting to me.

Are most posters lonely people, or do people with families, jobs and active social lives tend to post?

Thanks. I find this part of American culture fascinating.

Mr Right

Seems to me there are some seriously angry women commenting on this issue. He "whored around" so he should pay. She should get as much as she can...
Well he was a college kid dating a college gal for a couple of months, why did she not protect herself? Let's be real here, maybe she saw a lifetime meal ticket and chose to trap the guy. Anyone read anything on Leinart that shows him not to be anything but a nice guy?
Something that happened between two college kids should not ring up 30K a month, no matter which one was irresponsible.

the other woman

We can comment all we want..but at the end the final decision will be made by the judge. It doesn't matter how much he wants to pay or how much she wants to get it will all be determined by his wages....tax forms...etc....if ur rich or middle class..minimum wage ...the courts will find you.....so women and men carry a condom at all times...and have a morning after pill in case ..u can get 1 without prescription....use common sense

Toria

She wants enough money to live a Hollywood life without living in Hollywood. She probably got pregnant on purpose so she could get paid. She doesn't need $30,000 a month regardless of how much her baby's daddy earns! The court should award her what is reasonable and fair. There are plenty of women with children out of wedlock living on less. And so can she. Let's hope he wears his raincoat from now on if he's having sex with a woman he's not married to.
