Bindi is 9!

The world's most precocious 8-year-old just became the world's most precocious 9-year-old!

Bindi, chock full of animal magnetism, will be celebrating her birthday with a "mad celebration" at the Australia Zoo, where all kids under 14 will get in free! Plus free face painting and free rides! Crikey!

Steve Irwin was killed ten months ago while diving near the Great Barrier Reef, when a stingray barb pierced his heart.

Why are people bagging on Terry Irwin? Bindi's mom seems to be a very strong and nice woman. She had her beloved Steve taken from her last year, and then had to do all those press junkets, etc, interviews. I mean come on??? She's probably still a wreck inside. She always seemed to be a very positive and happy woman. Hopefully she can move on and marry again, she's still very young, what, 40?

No body is kncoking Steve, Terri, their work, their daughter. GET OFF IT AND TRYING TO SAY SOMETINGTAT PEOPLE ARE NOT SAYING.

Steve and Terri were good as a couple and in their work.
Bindi is not Steve or Terri. Bindi is not Terri's husband.

Bindi is a CHILD. She needs to be off of the worldwide stage.
Terri can handle the biz by herself.

Bindi's birthday is used as a promo here. ENOUGH or 10 yrs. Bindi might be the new Brit or Lyndsay.

Bindi is cute. Bindi needs to be be behind the scenes. Ocassionaly an appearance here and there with her mom for pr with Terri, OKAY. Bindi is on the worldwide stage working fulltime. She needs to be a fullltime kiddo esp. since she lost her father at such a young age and her mother's job is not a 9-5:00 thing , ordinary job.

Bindi does not get a pass from bad pr, negative press ,people talking bad about her, her life being an open book, the paparazzi etc. because she is a kid. She is a celebrity on the worldwide stage now. You cannot have it both ways. The teen years for everybody is rough as your body changes, and making friends, and crushes. Bindi 's teen years with everything is going to be on the worldwide stage. Can she handle it? I bet no.

I'm just afraid that this sweet little girl is going to be Australis's version of a future Britney and Lindsay... used by her parent to support the family and when she's grown she'll have a breakdown because she's never had a chance to be real. So sad!

I have to agree with a few comments. She has more on her 9 year old shoulders than most adults. I hope they encourage her to take the time to be a kid while she can. Nonetheless, I hope she has a fun and carefree birthday.

I love this child, and Happy Birthday Bindi. At least we don't ever have to worry about YOU ever being like those trashy young ladies like Paris, Britney, Lindsay, or Nicole. You are different, you have a good solid foundation, thanks to your Mother. I am so happy that you are being raised so differently than these poor young girls in America.

Please pray for them, and maybe you can become the role model for America's youth, as we so sorely need that. We are proud of you, and you are wise beyond your ears. You remind me of your father...:)
