When you are as famous as David Beckham, you can get an escort whenever you want -- a police escort that is! Pull over!


While it appeared that David and his footballer wife, Victoria, received special assistance from the po po after spending Tuesday afternoon at Barneys in Beverly Hills, actually, they just happened to be driving alongside the coppers when David rolled down his window to ask the officer a question. Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon?

With all the attention they have been getting in the States, you'd think Americans cared about soccer!

57. Sorry all - the BECKHAM's were not that popular in England - he had run his course in soccer (if he was still that good, don't you think England would have come up with more $$$ to keep him)? His wife was too narcissistic and uppity for our countrymen.

The U.S. will see through them before long.

They are enjoying the limelight and their new celebrity now, but they will soon tire of this, as will the Americans.

BECKHAM was a skirt chaser here, it will be worse in California where the women are beautiful.

58. Soccer players in my high school got laid more than any of the other athletes, and this was 15 years ago. And before your "witty" comeback says something about how our other teams must suck, well, we won the State Championship in football (the gridiron kind) 3 of my 4 years... And I played both sports.

60. Americans do care about soccer, jeez even TMZ can't get it right. But there are even some Americans who don't care about Baseball, Golf, and Nascar. Oh the shame! What I don't get is that Baseball has cheaters breaking all time records, Basketball has referees fixing games and and gang bangers on the court, Football has dog killers and half the league with criminal records. Yet Soccer is the bad Sport. Why, because it's finally getting media attention? That's your fault TMZ, not Soccer's. And for all your idiot fans, there are a lot of Americans that do care about Soccer, if you don't like it... nobody gives a flying F, there's a lot of other things in America I don't care about, but I don't go out of my way to belittle them.
