Lindsay's Attorney Issues Statement

Lindsay Lohan. Blair BerkLindsay's attorney, Blair Berk, issued the following statement to TMZ:

"Addiction is a terrible and vicious disease. Since Lindsay transitioned to outpatient care, she has been monitored on a SCRAM bracelet and tested daily in order to support her sobriety. Throughout this period, I have received timely and accurate reports from the testing companies. Unfortunately, late yesterday I was informed that Lindsay had relapsed. The bracelet has now been removed. She is safe, out of custody and presently receiving medical care."

77. who gives a crap anymore. throw he ass in jail. that's what she needs. there is no way she should have been let out of rehab. let he rot in jail. what are people waiting for her? for her to kill someone? i find it amusing that people are always bitching about paris and nicole- frankly, i think lohan's worse and more apt to kill someone on the road. she deserves jail, nothing less

79. Lindsay needs to go to a treatment center 24/7 until the court hearing in Aug. NOT one that she leaves to go on excursions like she did before. She came and went often, with photographers shooting her whereabouts and comings and goings. She needs intensive monitoring for much longer than the 6 weeks, and she probably will get it after being sentenced in August. Meanwhile she should be supervised, by authorities, medical and psychologically. She wasn't ready to re-enter the Malibu social scene, she needs to be away from the other young ones who do the same things she has been doing for years. She is no role model for our teens, along with trainwreck Britney and Paris. Paris capitalized on her jail stent, it became a media circus. I will believe it when I see it about her humanity endeavors. Right now it's mostly talk.

Anyway, our young people need some positive role models, who will step up to the plate? I teach 6th graders, have for nearly thirty years. They idolize and imitate teen stars. They want to look like them and have the things they use, etc. What used to be the idols of high schoolers, are now the idols of the teeny bopper set. Meaning: 6th grade is not what it used to be, it's a modified high school personna, only with the more impressionable minds. If you think the average 12 year old is like they were 20-30 years ago, think again. You would be shocked. Of course there are still those with rock solid family foundations, and they act their age and are a delight to be around. But there are the ones who are 12 going on 20! In every way! With the consent and encouragement of their parents. When I meet parents in conferences, it's clear to see that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. That can be good, and it can be detrimental, depending on which direction it goes. Parents, use discipline and guidance to your and their benefit, your kids will thank you for it someday!

82. These Rehab girls need to have stop watches on them, not ankle monitors. What a shame that don't care about themselves or the people that love them, family or public wise. Watch out Anne Nicole, you'll have some party girls with you soon!

83. Someone please inform me what exactly the point of that anklet was??? I'm kind of confused......I thought it was to monitor drinking.......seems fairly useless in my mind.
That girl needs H-E-L-P!!

86. Someone must love this girl enough to get her some REAL help andCONTINUE watching over her when she leaves rehab. I would hope it would be her parents, but in this case that seems unlikely, she mush have other family that aren't as messed up as her parents,! PLEASE, someone step up to the plate and save this messed up little girl's life before it's too late. God watch over her, she's got a very tough road ahead of her.

88. Sadly, she's going down the very same path like other young bright celebrities before her who's life ended much too early due to alcohol and drug abuse. It's a hard monkey to get off your back.
