47. Why don't these girls hire a driver for the night? They obviously have enough money and it is way cheaper than going to jail. She looked down her nose at her father and now she is in the same boat (more or less) that he is/was!!!! Her partying ways have aged her as she looks about 30+!!!! Maybe a year or so in jail will do her good. Her career is pretty much over as I see it. Britney will be the next one to have something "big" happen to her!!!

48. This is a sad situation. If we remove the stardom, the movie career, and the L.A. scene what we have left is a tragic young girl from a deeply dysfunctional family. If Lindsay had never even seen Hollywood she we be chemically dependent. Lindsay and her siblings are in a no win situation. Unless someone from somewhere intervenes her brother and sister are going to wind up in the same situation. Lindsay is going to wind up dead. Her parents are both train wrecks! Her legal problems may just save her life. Jail time will seperate her from her yes people, friends and the ability to be going to places she shouldn't be going. Maybe putting some time between her and these things will have some effect. Watching all of these young people crash and burn is horrible. Unlike some of them though Lindsay is a product of her enviroment. When I say product I mean that in more than one way. This girl has been the goose that laid the GOLDEN egg. She's been made a product even to her own parents. When they slam the cell door I wish her mother Dina was in the adjoining cell. Shame on her!!! She's a pimp to her own child. How sad. You would think that Children's Services would step in for the well being of the two younger children. Meanwhile , while she has definitly made poor choices for Lindsay's sake I hope we can step back and say... There but for the grace of God go I. To be acting like this she already feels bad about herself. She has no visible support from family, the media is there for the story, and some of her friends aren't much better. Maybe the public can reach out with kindness and understanding.

I don't know who her leeching parents will suck off of when she goes to PRISON (not jail), but it is about time they took care of themselves! Look out little Sis Lohan!

51. Promises, promises, promises: what a farce of a rehab program.
New California Trend, one of many farces in celeb land rehab/media spin.

She was allowed to drink small amounts while in recovery program and partied on tequilla during her July 4th outing, while a Promise's escort attended. Hello, thought you detoxed first, meaning no alcohol and then did therapy/12 steps. Then treatment would address planned strategies to re-enter your life w/out alcohol, even if a celebrity. That is life as an addict, you have to make that choice to keep sober.

Knowing it is extra hard for celebs to not be around alcohol, why would Promises promote her going to a 4th of July drinking party in the middle of treatment? Then not reel her back in this past week as she bar hopped. She had an escort from the treatment facility at some events. No wonder the monitoring bracelet was a hoax, Promises was in charge of that too. Not that Lindsey helped herself, she needs to adhere to abstinence or the career is gone. She will never get insured, thought money talked if the 112 steps did not.. She and her paid handlers are all wasting a lot of time, money, and resources.

The point is to find new friends/new staff/activities/locations that are alcohol free for the first 90 days. So that new healthier/lifelong habits for enjoying freetime and work can be established. One has to focus on new coping skills for recreation or for handling stress. Rehab means no more drinking or drugging it away.

What kind of place is Promises Rehab?
Agree with earlier poster. It sounds like it is out for the money under the guise of claiming newer treatment modalities.

IE. Glamorous, overpriced, indulgent, undisciplined, and unfocused, money absorbing centers r springing up all over West Coast. One chooses to participate or not while staying there. Obviously, if you choose to not sincerely engage in treatment during a 30, 60, or 90 day stay, the end results will be tragic. No change or lesson learned. Not participating while sleeping there just gets you a great pedicure, nice horseback riding, and a gourmet meal, and an empty wallet. Seems shameful.

Throw away the key, rot in jail, this girl is a lost cause.......sick and tired of Britney & Lindsay, let's start paying attention to some of very talented "good girls" in Hollywood, not these loooooser.......they are a danger to themselves and the public, lock up Lindsay and give KFed the babies and put Britney in the Looney Bin.....wash our hands of them once and for all.

53. Jail time and at least one year in a half-way house...a REAL half-way house, not a hollywood half-way. I would like to know what the success rate of those hollywood spa-rehabs is, if there is such a thing. Any kind of addiction is not a joke, it separates you from your own humanity, but apparently some 'rehabs' are a joke. Unfortunatly many (most) addicts have to 'hit bottom', lose everything, to really appreciate how far they have fallen, and anyone trying to cushion that fall is an enabler. REAL recovery is hard and nasty WORK, and almost always requires major changes in 'life-style'.

60. Lindsay won't get 6 years. The average, tax paying citizen that sits in a lower tax brackey would get around 6 years. Lindsay will get atleast 6 minutes with a maximum of 6 weeks. I'd be willing to put money on it.
I am also starting to get the sense that young hollywood is trying to make a "fad" out of getting locked up. Paris, maybe Nicole, Lindsay, Michele, who's next? the awfully singing Heroes star??
