Train Wrecks
OK! Goes for It!!

In a surprising move, OK! Magazine says they're going to show Britney as she really was on the day of her disastrous photo shoot -- the good, the bad and the unbelievably ugly!

In an exclusive statement to TMZ, OK! Editor-in-Chief Sarah Ivens said, "OK! Magazine spent a heartbreaking day with Britney Spears and witnessed first-hand an emotional cry for help that will leave you shocked and sad. This week, on newsstands Friday, the truth will be told."

As TMZ first reported, Britney had a complete and total meltdown during the interview and photo shoot. OK! was faced with a huge decision; to run the horrifying photos as is and risk ruining their relationship with Brit (and potentially her career), or run a sanitized -- and untrue-- article.

In the end, it appears as if OK! chose journalism over Hollywood. OK! is OK!

You made me go look at #37 and then I went to the site and read some of the stuff there about why she made a book. She is a volunteer person and it looks like she just was trying to help by offering to give books away she was not selling them. I think she was trying to sound legitimate and not a scam by saying it was on amuzon.
As for Britiney, she needs someone who will tell her to stop but you are right if she has a chemical problem. That would suck.

170. #162 - Yes, it's on amazon, but one has to PAY for a book.....(Maybe this was "catherine" responding )???
Let's hope Britney finds a good psychiatrist. I have worked in this field for many years - I've met a lot of Britneys. Bipolar D/O is very treatable - let's hope it works out for her.

172. Hollywood is getting WEIRDER. "A Career????" of lip syncing? Not admitting she has a problem & blames everybody else? Supposedly is a "Mutha" to 2 young kids but is barely seen with them. She avoids her parents & accuses her Mom for her problems. Same as LiLO & Paris. WHY MUST WE CATER TO THESE SPOILED BRATS??? If the papparazzi would just IGNORE them & keep the cameras OFF for about a month maybe THEN they'd TRY to clean up their acts. The Paris thing was only a stunt & a circus. Can't these reporters just GO HOME? Everyday they're in the news like we WANT to hear what they did or did'nt do. WHO CARES ALREADY? They're ALL train wrecks. A real great role model for kids to idolize, huh? I'll stick with my faves who actually know HOW to sing LIVE! Who reformed & lead a happy life now. END OF STORY!

173. “Train wreck” – what a perfect description.

The kind of celebrity that Britney is a poster girl for usually has an expiry date, and Britney is an increasingly graphic example of what happens when you try to push past that. She’s had a very good run - four years (1999 - 2003) at the top of the music business during which she made a ton of money. With sensible management and financial planning, that should have been enough to set her up for life. She doesn’t seem to have had the management and financial troubles that some other young performers have had. Unfortunately, the ongoing collapse of her career looks like it could erase all of her prior accomplishments. Britney is increasingly in the curious position of making Madonna’s career look like a class act by comparison. (If this continues, Britney may end up making *Paris Hilton* look classy by comparison).

What’s happening to her now is obviously tragic, made all the more so by the presence of her two children. I find it difficult to be sympathetic about her, though - Perhaps it’s nasty of me, but I feel she has been built up so far above what her limited talent would justify that recent events seem like just desserts. After all those years of being catered to and never hearing the word “No”, Brit is discovering limits. Maybe if someone (parents, management, anyone…) had imposed some limits before, this collapse might not have been so messy. She will certainly serve as a cautionary tale for any youngsters that want to be future pop idols.

It is possible that we won’t see her like again in the near future. The music industry doesn’t have the star-making power that it had a few years ago (due to the fragmentation of tastes brought on by the advent of downloadable music), and one result has been that we haven’t heard much from the pre-fab Boy Bands and pop idols like Britney. Maybe the best thing she could have (although probably the last thing she would want) would be some quiet obscurity for her to get her life sorted out. Mind you, I’m not holding my breath…

174. I just wish Britney would consider what her actions are doing to her children. They are the innocent victims in all of this. I pray that she comes to an epiphany and gets clean.
good luck to her and her family.

175. Elvis had self loathing, destructive tendencies and everyone around him catered to him as well. Look where that got him. At least some people around her are saying enough is enough. Publicity stunt? Are you kidding me? Look at her website: reinspired, rejuvinated, blah blah blah - her publicists are desperately grabbing at straws, trying to project a Britney that doesn't exist!!

176. Yes!! OK! just earned mega-kudos from me!! Good for them!!!

177. This is to #15's acroposthion: What new album? she hasn't done one in years. And now when she sings she lip synics her songs. She's gone from has-been to a bad mother.Who keeps her babys in her lap. Or spends most of her times at night clubs.

178. I THINK SHES ACTING CRAZY TO LOSE HER KIDS. I DON'T THINK SHE WANTS THE RESPONSIBILITY. CRAZY BUT TRUE! SHE KNEW THIS WOULD LOOK BAD IN COURT. SHE WANTS HER SINGLE FREE LIFE AGAIN!

179. #175 - Reread what you wrote - nonsensical at best. And why are you slamming #146? Once again, nonsensical (which means it doesn't make sense, by the way). Take a nap or drink a cup of coffee - at least, I'm assuming this will help - or, maybe not??
