Jackasses Nix WWE Matches

Even the jackasses in "Jackass" are staying away from the WWE. A planned match-up between "Jackass" and WWE wrestlers at the WWE's pay-per-view "Summerslam" event has been knocked out.


Following the recent murder-suicide of WWE wrestler Chris Benoit and his family, it seems the "Jackass" crew didn't want to risk getting in the ring with the WWE, or was it just the taint? Bam Margera was first to bow out with an injury. Then "Jackass" ringmaster and alleged-Jessica Simpson dater Johnny Knoxville backed out, too.

Maybe they're not as dumb as they seem!

Attempts to reach the "Jackasses" for comment were unsuccessful.

16. the Jackass guys are snubbing WWE as the WWE snubbed the Jackass guys.
recently some of the cast members from jackass contacted WWE about attending an event and the WWE public relations department advised them that they only gave out passes to terminally ill children. when the jackass guys reminded them that they were friends of the WWE.. they were basically told they weren't important enough and WWE would stay in touch.
so turn abouts fair play huh WWE?

17. None of the wrestling fans wanted to see the Jackass guys. It would have been bad for business on WWE's part if they brought them to Summerslam. I personally like Knoxville and the gang, but I just don't see a good storyline there. After all, the WWE is ENTERTAINMENT!

18. That is a pretty shameless attack on the WWE by TMZ I believe. Surely there is someone in the company that can check their sources a little better or at least stop trying to twist the story to sound like something out of the National Enquirer.

19. According to a well-known and reliable wrestling news site, WWE Champion John Cena (who is a closet homosexual) reportedly tried to seduce Steve-O backstage at a RAW taping a few months back. This is partly the reason why the Jackass crew backed out.

20. I'm glad someone who knows about wresting posted here to let us know what's going on. Looks like the Jackass guys are actually smarter than the WWE. I wonder why WWE is backing out tho...Steve-O and Ponitus were on it and did get injured, but not like, life threatening injured.

21. I think Jackass is a stupid show, and the guys not showing up for Summerslam is a good thing. It is a disgrace to have them on any wrestling show. The guys from Jackass really need to be adults, instead of stupid children.
