Lindsay: I Know Who Killed Your Movie

Lindsay Lohan's new thriller flick, "I Know Who Killed Me" -- could be DOA. The stripper-themed pic, which features Lilo making her pole dancing debut, opens tomorrow. Bad timing -- considering she got popped early Tuesday morning for DUI and cocaine possession.
I Know Who Killed Me/ Lindsay Lohan
The film opens on just 1200 screens -- 3000 screens less than "The Simpsons Movie." Box office guru Chad Hartigan of Exhibitor Relations doesn't expect much. He tells TMZ Lindsay's disastrous fall off the wagon could murder the flick, and that "I Know Who Killed Me" may open in the lower third of the top ten, "... if in the top ten at all."

For a major studio release, the small amount of theaters tells Hartigan two things: "Sony doesn't have much faith [in the movie] or theater owners don't have much faith." That's the naked truth for Lindsay!

16. Like I'd really like to see a fat chick with kankles who is white and pasty with freckles disgustingly illuminated on her body and face dance like the whore she is.. sounds like a good movie.... NOT.

17. It's weird cuz i will tend to think the opposite. BECAUSE of her DUI/ cocaine possession and stuff, I would tend to think that people want to go see the movie even more, just to see her and stuff. WEIRD.

18. Hooray for Nos. 7 and 12 -- boycott this loser's films and wipe that smug smile off her face. She won't have any more money for cocaine or $13,000/month luxury apartment suites. If she's lucky, she'll get a job cleaning toilets.

19. It's obvious that her unbeknownst twin did all of this damage to her career. She is innocent afterall!! That person looks just like her, but isn't her - doesn't anyone see this? I guess the movie does mimic real life.

22. i don't think it will hurt the movie at all - i think people will be interested to see her during her filming as a troubled girl who was boozing and partying - i'm sure they will be curious in her stripper role from all of this - i think it will actually be 'good' for her ratings (horrible to think, but....)

23. Most of the complaints I've read about lohan have been about her drunk driving endangering lives. For me, that's the main thing. However, lost in all this is the impact it has on people who are involved in her movies. She was hired not only to give a great performance on film, but to draw people in to see it. With her arrogance petulance in insisting on driving drunk, and her stupidity to think she can spin doctor her way out of it, people are being turned off by her major attitude, and will probably avoid her pictures; look what happened to "Georgia Rule".

Who does this hurt? The peope who put up their money to invest in her films, the people who's jobs depend on the performance of her films, the tradesmen and women who do all the work on her films, the people who rent her films for their theatres, the list goes on. That's what so maddening about this; she can go straight to hell as far as I'm concerned, as long as it's just her; the problem is, she's taking a lot of people with her. People who's livelihoods are affected by her petulant, arrogant, self centered & self indulgent acting out. For that, she should be truly ashamed...

25. DUI or not, all of her recent movies have bombed...

26. I think it is very stupid to think that her recent antics would be the reason that the movie fails. No publicity is bad publicity, and the only thing that might have an effect in terms of her behavior is the fact that she missed a tonight show appearance to promote.

If the movie fails, it would be due to no other major cause, other than it was just a bad film.

27. I never have figured out how such marginally talented people...and there are a lot of them out there...continue to get movie/record deals. It runs both ways...people that get their start in movies cutting records and people that make music move into making films. Most of the time their skills as either are marginal at best, their movies/records flop in part because of them, and often because the movie wasn't that good to begin with. Yet they continue to do more of the same, and even more ridiculous is that "die hard" fans continue to "consume" their product regardless of how bad it is.

I don't go to the movies very often because I think most movies stink. I don't buy a whole lot of music because it's just as bad. The thing they all have in common: corporate marketing and trying to shove "the next best thing" down our throats!

Thank goodness for the electronic media and the outlet that it provies for musicians that might otherwise not get heard!! It's the indie record label of the new millenium! I'm sure there are a ton of great independent films out there...they just don't have nearly the exposure at this point.

28. Well here come the loser Lindsey haters....

One moron on here says that the role for this new film should go to someone who will be a role model... why the HELL does an actress need to be a role model?

The people on here who are gleeful about the troubles this poor girl is going through makes me sick. Are you lives so pathetic that you can't wait until someone successful falls?

Please don't give me the Crap about her endangering others with drunk driving. I do not believe this is why you are posting

Show some compassion for someone down on her luck.

29. The girl definitly needs a better role model than her mother.

30. Maybe LiLo needs to give back some of her pay for this movie. LiLo needs to be locked up in Rehab for life.
