Judge Blasts Lindsay's Dad -- Get a Job!

While their daughter Lindsay waits to hear the music on her latest DUI arrest, Michael and Dina Lohan made plenty of noise this morning in their divorce battle in a Long Island courtroom.
Lohans
Judge Robert A. Ross ordered Michael to pay Dina $500 a week in child support for the next two weeks, and excoriated him for not being able to tell him how he's been getting by since he got out of jail. What's more, the judge demanded that in two weeks' time, Michael must show some proof that he's working toward getting work.

One topic that went completely unmentioned in court: Lindsay herself. Both Dina and Michael were tight-lipped about her, but Michael did tell TMZ that he thought a letter -- blaming him for being an absentee father, and purportedly written by his 13-year-old daughter, Ali -- was "written by someone else."

The Litigious Lohan Clan will be back in court in Long Island on Monday for more divorce proceedings. TMZ will be there!

46. Child stars have had a history of having parents more interested in their child's earnings
than they are of the child. Dina should be whipped and Michael will be back in jail any old time. These two parents are a disgrace.

48. why in the world shoud either Lohan parent be obliged to provide the other with money? Their child (oops, she's 21) can amply provide for one or both, if she wishes.

49. Why should he work? With Lindseed Lohan supporting the family, plus if her mother gets her way to exploit the others, he's fine. Her mother is partying with her and her Dad is showing the results.

There are so many other stories out there that are important, not someone who needs to be locked up. Evidently, rehab doesn't work.

51. A dead-beat dad and star-struck sponge for a mother; both selfish and self-centered to the core. With parents like these it's no wonder Lindsay Lohan is an out of control basket case with no morals or scruples. But this background still does not exonerate her for her own personal behavior. Many youth suffer the same difficulties growing up but they find it in themselves to go on to be good citizens. No matter what our background we all still make our own choices.

53. #12 - If you don't work, you can't pay child support. Jail is your next option when you become delinquent in child support. Deadbeat fathers suck!

55. She deserves everything a judge can put on her. Her record is much worse than Paris. Paris only has a suspended license and LL has DUI's, coke, reckless driving, speeding, put the little bitch in the slammer!!

56. I think it is too late for an ass-beating. Probably should have been done a LONG time ago, parents included.

57. Say/What - of course a judge can demand that a convicted criminal who has just been released from jail (Lindsay's dad) find employment - that is typical of the conditions most people face when released after serving time in prison. Get a job, no alcohol, pay child support...in other words...Be responsible, get your act together and start contributing to your own welfare and to that of your family and children.....this family is hopeless.
