Celebrity Justice
Nicole Richie -- Big Stomach, Big House

Say you, say me ... say guilty!

TMZ was in L.A. County Superior Courtroom moments ago, where a pregnant Nicole Richie faced the music for her wrong-way DUI bust in December -- her second DUI conviction in 4 years.

A court commissioner sentenced Richie, represented by uber-lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley, to serve four days in the City or County Jail (her choice!) -- she got credit for one day, based on the six hours she served after being busted. So when she goes back in to the pokey, she'll only serve three days.

Richie was also fined $2,048, was ordered back to school for an alcohol education course and on three years probation.

Richie must report to serve her time by September 28.

The commissioner issued Richie a stern warning, telling her if she drove drunk again and she actually killed someone, she could be charged with murder -- not manslaughter. That's because after her first DUI, Richie agreed that if she drove under the influence and killed someone, she'd be nailed for murder.

The 25-year-old is expected to give birth sometime in January.

A source close to Richie said at today's sentencing she was "stoic and serious, but not emotional."

76. For all of those saying Nicole bought off the judge and all of that "pro-Paris" uninformed, in your own dreamworld crap.

Hello??? Nicole went into court and pled guilty, that holds much more with the judge then going in there like a diva and trying to place blame on your publicist!

77. What jail actually has bars close enough together that she couldn't simply slip through?

78. Aside from staying sober now it's time for Paris, Jr. to jettison the ridiculous Paris cloning of herself she's been doing for the last couple years. Bad enough the world's got one Pareeessss Hiltoon, we don't need her on-again, off-again BFF going annorexic or bulimic trying to emulate the dumb hotel air-head-ress.

She needs to go back to just being herself.

81. At least she didn't dry for mommy like some celebutants do when they are sentenced.

Of course, you could hardly call 5 days in jail a sentence. She got off pretty light considering how drunk/drugged one would have to be to drive in the wrong fricken' lane.

83. 69. Most of you making comments on here don't even read the other comments. You just bulldoze in and mostly post stupidity. If you stopped & read the other comments, you would have seen one poster did research as to other states and what they would have been sentenced. No different than LA. Paris and Nicole where two totally different situations.

GET A BRAIN PEOPLE. READ & RESEARCH INSTEAD OF SPEAKING OUT YOUR A$$.

********

AMEN!!!! Please do your research people - you obviously know how to use a computer. Google DUI and your state and you can easily find out what the charges hold for jail time and fines and the like. Think, then speak.

85. I'm glad to see we take DUI so serious in this country. considering the many families who has lost loved one's to morons driving drunk and high (smirk). justice is a joke in America

86. Leave her alone. She is handling herself with more grace and character than her friend Paris. Doubtful she will be having "meltdowns" and screaming crying jags.
Good Luck to you Nicole. Please learn from this.

87. Many questioning that she's pregnant.

I carried full term 9 months -- still wore my size 29 waist jeans even to the hospital to deliver, baby was 5 lbs. 4 oz. Never looked like I gained a pound. People would never have known I was pregnant ever to the delivery date. Baby carried sideways and not protuded out. I ate like a pig for two!!

89. WTF: The commissioner issued Richie a stern warning, telling her if she she drove drunk again and she actually killed someone she could be charged with murder -- not manslaughter.

If this isn't the stupidest statement I ever heard - no chit! So when Nicole does it again and kills someone - this idiotic commissioner should be charged with murder. Seems like from his statement, he expects her to drive under the influence again.

What kind of sentence is this? And I ragged about Her "Air-Ass" getting "Special Treatment"!

I guess from this sentence, LoHo won't even spend a day in jail.

That's "Hollyweird" for ya!

90. Hey Nicole, do your friend Paris a big favor, give her your lawyers name and number. You might also give it to Lindsey.

I thought she would get 90 days and she got 90 hours, great job by her lawyer in getting her a gift sentence.
