93. Stop comparing her to Paris. Paris did not serve anytime for her DUI, get your facts straight. As for Nicole Richie she actually got screwed. Not that I'm proud to say I know someone like this but one of my old friends in New York had two DWI (Driving While Intoxicated in NY DUI is a lesser charge) in less then two years and rcv'd no jail time, no comnunity service only probation. And believe me they were not wealthy.

Remember, as my good friend (!) and tmz poster "Pootie" once said, "Karma's a bitch!" By spewing such negative thoughts toward Nicole, you are only inviting it on yourselves. Try wishing peace, love and happiness to all and see what comes back to you. And jealousy is not attractive on anyone, so try to get over the fact that Nicole (and Paris, LiLo, Britney, etc) are wealthy and famous and you're not.

98. I am not a big fan of all these celebutants but I have to say Nicole handled herself with much more class than the other two. Don't you believe she has learned from this? She has not been out partying, and trying to get a photo-op every chance she can, has kept a low profile, has not jetted off to vacations like others have done after being released from prison, did not get out of rehad to attend parties, then back to rehab for 7 more days just to get arrested again, showed respect to the court by arriving 35 minutes early, not 35 minutes late like Paris sis. She is now going to be a mother and I believe she has learned early on what those priorities mean. She should go directly to the jail, start her sentence be out by Tuesday and put this whole thing behind her, move on to taking care of herself and the baby she is carrying. That would really show the other party girls how to take responsibility for her actions.

I agree with you 100%, except for the humiliating part. If you put others in danger for own self gratification, then jail (or hell) is where you belong. I wish these girls would be more humiliated, but to them it is just a big joke and more money in the bank.

This is so terribly sad. THE BIG PICTURE HERE IS IMPAIRED DRIVING. People are hurt, disabled and killed DAILY by a totally selfish "choice".

I hope you all never have to feel the affects of drinking and driving like my family has. We live with the absolutely devastating sadness every single day. Speak up people! Call your local MADD chapters and get involved. We really can change things.

100. good luck nicole i have been a fan of your father since his commodores days . I am also from alabama . Nicole clean up your life and take care of the baby that is growing inside of you. Your life is not just yours anymore u have a baby inside of you. you will be a good mother , your baby will change your life good luck with it all . I still listen to your father's cd's and i love the simple life . she was sentenced according to the law so dont compare her case with paris as ashley said probation violation is much more serious than this little dui $hit that nicole did , i know dui and driving is a very serious crime but she got what the law decided to give her under the ca statues so all y'all haters eat your heart out y'all dont know what its like to have a eating disorder unless you have had one yourself but you can recover from it .I love ya nicole ....... you're better than Jail so dont violate your 3 yrs probation ... good luck girl i am prayin for you .

101. Two DUI's and drugs in her system and driving on the freeway the wrong way and she gets 4 days in jail. I am moving to california cause the laws there are great. I live in Arizona and if I did what she did I would be doing a year in a tent out in the heat. Must be nice to be a rich bitch who lives in cali.

Do people not realize just how often people get off several times after a DUI without jail time at all? 4 days isn't much, but unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who have been habitually nailed for DUI and have never served a day for it. And the whole comparison with Paris doesn't really make sense--Paris was really punished for lying and her refusal to take accountability for her actions, not the act itself--and her punishment was somewhat excessive in any event, if one looks at similar cases (despite how amusing it was).

DAMMMM!!!!......Only 4 days Nicole?, Let's see: I drive the wrong way on a freeway at night with no lights, admit to smoking dope, still have dope on me and in the car, take the factor I am not famous or rich, latino, from East LA with no prior convictions what so ever, and yet the verdict would be minimum of 3 to 5 years in prison and a rediculous fine in excess of $10,000.00.........MUST BE NICE righttttt?
