47. It seems that parenting in Hollywood is practiced in the extreme. Either you party with your kid (Lohan's mama) or you micromanage their existence (Simpson). (Although, erring on the side of caution, Im with the simpson's) We never see a family and say, "well done, great balance of self resilence, self-respect and work ethic you've shown your child". Or are we just niave and not consider those celebrities who've had balance and achieved beautifully? For example, Reese Witherspoon was a young actress who I am sure worked for years in the same hollywood cesspool before fame hit and she seems to be somewhat normal-well beyond-she's superlady. Natalee Portman is another. What about Jennifer Garner, when she was Pre-Affleck? There are others, but you get the point. None of them had to sacrifice their dignity or pride to achieve success. And they are more of a woman because of it. So why doesn't access hollywood, e!, and all of these other shows at least dedicate a segment to highlighting the girls who choose to live like ladies, women and did not give in to treating themselves as objects to be marketed, bought and sold. Given the recent antics of Spears, Lohan and Hilton, it would be refreshing and the theme may even regain popularity.

48. Promised an Oscar doesn't mean anything. People are always promised Oscars for roles; it doesn't mean they get one. This girl doesn't have the chops as a an actress. Sorry, Jess, but even you know it's true. Real acting requires thought and emotion...and range. You have big boobs. I applaud you for not playing a singer in every endeavor, as Beyonce has, but playing an idiot when you are an idiot is not acting nor is it funny--no matter what your daddy says. The sad thing is that the rest of the people.com quote said you are doing 3 more movies. I don't doubt they are more busty, blonde, pretty, stupid girl roles. I feel sorry for you, Ms. Simpson. You have zero credibility left. That is what you get when you listen to your daddy. Grow up, sweetie. Please. You are 3 years away from 30 now. It was never a cute act, and you need to outgrow it. Go back to Texas for a couple years. Take some college classes. Learn to make your own decisions. Learn to THINK. Honestly, Ms. Simpson, you said you wanted to set a good example for girls, and you are letting everyone down just as much as Britney and Lindsay.

51. Joe Simpson may get on our nerves, but at least he speaks enough to Jessica to let her know that no amount of foul publicity is good for you. I never want to see Jessica having sex in public like her ex, and I don’t want to see anyone else either. You can’t run from these photos or the mug shots. You see them just by simply looking over your shoulder in the check out line. You never have to go to far these days in order to see the bad publicity with all these celebrities. She may not be a talent actress, but at least that’s all we pretty much see of Jessica.

Who cares about her nose, a lot of white people get tans, and a lot of people must like her voice in order for her to make the money that she did. Its takes the words. Melody, a good voice, great producer, and more too make a hit song. And I don’t know about her last CD or movie. All I do know is that I don’t see any mug shots of Jessica Simpson anywhere. So Joe Simpson did something right.

57. I agree with #49……they do tend to lean on speaking about the falling women in Hollywood. You would think that people would like the refreshing comments about something positive.

And I do like all of the other talented ladies that they mentioned up there. Jennifer Garner, Reese Whiterspoon, Natalie Portman, and so on. Those women are talented and even when they start to fall from the limelight; they still hold their heads high and move on to the next project without all the drama, drugs and so on.

60. Now that I got rid of that jerk Nick, I'll be the only one seeing my daughter naked for now on. She will not be needing any more men around. I am all the man she needs. I bounced her on my knee as a baby and ever since she got her boobies I bounce her on my wiener. We are a very close knit family. Now as for Ashlee, well who ever wants her can have her. I don't want her, you can have her, she's to ugly for me. Even after the plastic surgery she is not naturally beautiful. That was like putting a band aid on herpe sore. It might look better, but the ugliness never really goes away.
