Billy Ray: Achy Breaky Breaks "Hannah" Fans

Billy Ray CyrusNobody knows how to break a girl's heart better than a Cyrus. On Sunday, Billy Ray, father of "Hannah Montana" star Miley Cyrus, signed his new CD for thousands gathered at a Wal-Mart in the Stevenson Ranch suburb of Los Angeles ... and made them cry.

Just like the old days (back in 1992), Billy Ray is still making fans sob -- the only difference is that now, half the tears falling were due to the fact that his daughter wasn't at the event! Yes, young girls and boys were heartbroken when told the news that Miley wouldn't be appearing with dad. Miley wasn't scheduled, tweeny fans were just hopeful she'd be there. Sorry kiddies, but it's his CD signing, not hers!

Despite the brokenhearted Hannah fans, the event was a huge success.

16. Billy Ray is actually a talented musician. Though he had one big hit years ago, most of the stuff he's put out during and since that time was pretty tightly written, and his voice is mellow. I'm glad he's finding success again, with or without his daughter in tow. Her show is cute, and they two have great chemistry. Best of luck to him!

19. You know, I wasn't crazy about Billy Ray when he first came out, but I've heard his new CD and it's really good. Didn't realize what a really nice guy he is and he's so down to earth. I think he's so proud of his daughter and he and his wife are raising her the right way.

I wish him alot of luck on his new CD and hope his music career is revived. I'm a new Billy Ray fan.

20. After reading some of your comments, it's so sad that some people have to be so cruel. At least you don' t hear about him getting drunk, drugged up, or calling people names. You don't have to like him, but my goodness you don't have to be so cruel and nasty.

Like I said, I wasn't a fan when he first came out, but, especially, after seeing him on the Glenn Beck show, he's a really nice person, good father, good husband and a great American. Can that not be enough for some people.

Billy Ray and Mylie, if you read some of these nasty comments, just igorne them.

24. One Hit Wonder huh? Anyone ever hear the song "Some Gave All"? Its played practically every HOUR on Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Sept 11.....something he worte and sang for the service men and women BEFORE he hit it huge. ...or "In The Heart of a Woman"? ....or "Romeo" a duet with Dolly Parton? Nashville never really gave him a chance...he was squeezed into this little hole of "Achy Breaky heart" and never was able to crack thru it.....Billy Ray, from one fan...."Welcome Home"

25. Billy Ray has never gone away. He's been working since his first album and even when he wasn't touring he was making albums. He also appeared for 5 years on a show called "Doc" that is in reruns on ION television. You want to see the man watch a few episodes and you'll see the man that his fans have seen all these years. He's one of the biggest draws every year for that past 13 years at what was known as Fan Fair each year in Nashville. He is awesome!
