Celebrity Justice
Gore Goes Guilty

Al Gore III pleaded guilty Monday to possessing marijuana and other drugs, but a judge told the former Veep's son he can withdraw that plea and have the charges dropped if he successfully completes a drug diversion program. What a bargain!

Cops say the 24-year-old was going 100+ MPH in his Prius on an Orange County freeway when they pulled him over. Multiple drugs were found in his car.

Gore pleaded guilty to two felony counts of drug possession, two misdemeanor counts of drug possession without a prescription, and one misdemeanor count of marijuana possession.

He will be sentenced on February 7.

46. I imagine even though Gore III pled guilty to the charges, the system will go rather easy on him because he is the former V'P's son. Can't muddy the political waters, now can we??? After all, if Gore, Jr. decides to run for our Prez, it would look horrible to have his son's arrest record besmirching him.

47. Talk about going green! He was caught driving a Prius and had some "green" on him. Dad is teaching him right. Next!

48. Da fix is in! Goober Jr pleads guilty to at least TWO felonies FOR THE THIRD TIME,and he is going to get his record wiped clean if he goes to some spa/rehab clinic for 30 days of laying around and watching tv between tennis lessons.

Don't forget,he has been caught for reckless driving and DUI at LEAST 3 times before this happened, and busted for drug possession at least twice before this.

Yet he walks after pleading guilty.

49. If this kid were in law school, he would never be able to practice law. His career would be ruined. The is BS, What kind of Drug program? This is ridiculous!

50. I'm soooo sick of this! EVERY week now...some rich or famous person is getting preferred treatment by our courts and/or by our law enforment...just because of their high standing in this society of ours! Where is our Justice people!...our lady of peace is suppose to be blind folded...but apparently that blind fold only applies to you or I as mr/mrs Joe Blow will get no such treatment...no such luck...no such breaks...just fines...jail time...and a record. I have no record...but thats because I have "chosen" not to break the law...not because I chose to break the law and get off clean because i have money or fame...I dont...and either does the majority. The Lohans....Hiltons....Gores...and the Gibsons of this country of ours disgust me! I spit on them and the people who give the preferred treatment!

51. This is california. The judge was probably the kid's smoke supplier or thinks he can be a Supreme Court justice under the next democratic admin. OR, he just wants to get his on Access Hollywood, pitch his TV show, and make 10 million a year.

I guess Gore III had to crash into someone and kill them before any real penaties are applied. I just hope it's not you or me that gets the bumper of a Prius going through a windshield at 100mph. it's obvious he has learned nothing from the past run in with this issue. So, another fake rahab seems in order to clear his good name!

52. GDMF!
I'm just *shocked* that the lawlessness of the son of a Democrat is quietly slipped under the rug!

I completely agree- if it had been a Republican's offspring, no matter what the age, the press would have had a field day with it!

53. Must be nice to be born to the maginally privilidged. I wonder what percentage of other criminals would receive the same treatment from our corrupt justice system.

54. Interesting that he has 2 felonies and 3 misdemeanor charges, which he pleaded guilty to, yet the judge will let him remove those once he completes a drug diversion program. I wonder how long his drug diversion program will last...Also, driving a Prius at 100+ miles per hour? Hybrid vehicles are not energy efficient after 55 mph. Think of the fuel he wasted and how many green gas emissions were sent into our atmosphere from that run on the freeway! What a double standard system is this, including his father.

55. Give the kid a break - heck he may even grow up to be our president one day - just like the oil guy we have now! Am I the only one who sees the striking similarities? Daddy's connections work on both sides of the fence. Anyone remember 'W' at twenty-something? American justice at its finest. Where is MADD on this - HELLO ....

56. If your daddy is Al Gore I guess you get 'special' treatment. If it were you or I we would be spending the next 10 years behind bars for possession of illegal drugs. What a crock of crap this is.

58. I hope that Gore gets better. He has a strong family and hopefully they can provide the emotional support and encouragement many people lack in their lives.

Ironically...his Dad Al Gore has complained aout smokers warming up the world with all of those lighters and matches and whatever they are smoking!!!
