Lane Garrison Relives Deadly Drunk Driving Crash

TMZ has obtained a chilling video in which former "Prison Break" star Lane Garrison relives the night someone died while he drove drunk behind the wheel of a car.

Fighting back tears and with his voice trembling, Garrison has gone back in front of the cameras -- to record a powerful and graphic public service announcement was directed by Andrew Gallery for The Troy and Alana Pack Foundation.

Hoping to prevent people from making the same deadly mistake he did in the December 2006 crash night, which resulted in the death of 17-year-old Vahagn Setian, Garrison warns drivers, "Just don't drink and drive, it's not worth it, it's just not worth it." Eerily realistic recreated footage of a drunk driving accident plays between clips of Lane's emotional plea. Amid the devastating wreckage, a frantic woman can be heard screaming "My boyfriend is dead!"

Garrison pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter, felony DUI with bodily injury and one misdemeanor count of providing alcohol to a minor. Sentencing is scheduled for August 2.

16. This video was VERY powerful. I sent it to my daughter. She is 13.
Wow!!!
I remember while growing up, I saw video's like this sometimes talking about drugs, or drinking..... It taught me a very valuable lesson, and I don't do drugs, or drink and drive. I hope this video is one of many my daughter will watch, and I hope she is as smart as I was....

18. He's sorry he got caught.
I'm sure a copy of his teary-eyed service announcement will somehow make it's way to the Judge.
Nice touch.

22. I hope that Lindsay, Paris, Brittany and Nicole see this video and can stop thinking of their selfish selves for one moment and realize that their actions can affect innocent lives who have the misfortune of crossing their paths.

23. My only question is, are those tears of remorse or that of a "good actor"? He probably made the ad so that if the judge became aware of it he might get a lighter sentence. I have no sympathy for anyone who drinks or does drugs, and then drives. My sympathy goes out to the family who lost it's family member.

27. I don't condone what he did, but this is an effective ad. I still hope he goes to jail, and I hope he shares that on video as well. He could turn out to be a powerful spokesperson.

28. ok, TMZ just went back up in my integrity book for even posting this. I at 31 have seen almost every public service commercial they've made for drunk driving & I have to say I'm speechless, I think this one will be the one that changes a few young minds.

29. Why now? Where were you 7 months ago? You doing this for publicity only, you know that you going to be sentenced this week. You are hopping for a lesser sentence, good luck body. I know that if there was ANYTHING that you or your lawyer can do to take you out this mess you will not plea guilty in the first place; this is at least what I think. All of these legal troubles for celebrities became like running for office, it is about whom can score best at the end. DO NOT FORGET THAT YOU KILLED SOMEONE.

30. Wow is right...That two minute video is jarring. I concur with the previous comment that it should be shown in schools. To be honest, it would be a very strong television advertisement too. Although, maybe too strong for the general audience. I can't imagine this video would not help a few drivers to reconsider their choice to drink and drive.
