Lane Garrison Relives Deadly Drunk Driving Crash

TMZ has obtained a chilling video in which former "Prison Break" star Lane Garrison relives the night someone died while he drove drunk behind the wheel of a car.

Fighting back tears and with his voice trembling, Garrison has gone back in front of the cameras -- to record a powerful and graphic public service announcement was directed by Andrew Gallery for The Troy and Alana Pack Foundation.

Hoping to prevent people from making the same deadly mistake he did in the December 2006 crash night, which resulted in the death of 17-year-old Vahagn Setian, Garrison warns drivers, "Just don't drink and drive, it's not worth it, it's just not worth it." Eerily realistic recreated footage of a drunk driving accident plays between clips of Lane's emotional plea. Amid the devastating wreckage, a frantic woman can be heard screaming "My boyfriend is dead!"

Garrison pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter, felony DUI with bodily injury and one misdemeanor count of providing alcohol to a minor. Sentencing is scheduled for August 2.

46. I really do not understand the hateful comparisons to Hilton and especially Lohan. This guy pleaded GUILTY....he did not lie or try to make up some cover.....he pleaded GUILTY and in every interview he has done he has expressed his guilt, HIS mistake and remorse for what he did. Lohan doesn't even see anything wrong on her part. You won't be seeing her standing up to do any PSA's unless she is FORCED to do so (and probably drunk when she does it so that she doesn't really know what she is saying). This guy who has shown remorse and has taken realand genuine efforts for that to be seen will serve way more time than Lohan ever will.....and while some of you will say well he killed someone and she didn't I say that right there is the problem with our DUI laws. More people who kill by DUI are REPEAT offenders....ones who don't get the message the first, second or third time. Their "luck" runs out and they finally do end up killing. Lohan already has two against her and has yet to even go to trial for the first one!! And then there is Hilton who made a fortune telling the world how she is a changed woman and we'd see.....and yes we have seen her shop, play with her dogs and go on vacations! She indeed is making a huge difference in the world....well the economy anyway!!

49. this was so deep, i have never experienced something like it before and i must say it is really scary. I had been in a couple of car accidents but it was not related to a drunk driver, it was more of a bad driver and i dont even know which one is worst. I believe the same way i call a car service to go and come back from clubbing here in NYC, I assume people in the spotlight should be able to afford doing the same, specially when they are aware of a drinking problem. I personally consider myself the girl with the shiny heart on myspace cause i try to give my buddies the best advice i can provide. I hope this video changes some peoples minds before is too late....Honey B

50. So is Paris going to kill somebody before she wakes up?

51. Anyone caught driving under the influence of any unlawful substance should be made to attend the preperation of a persons body killed by same. They should also be made to work in a Major City Hospital emergency room for a minimum of 6 months without pay !. They should be made to work in the morgue to prepare the bodies for the undertakers during that same time.

54. Of course he looks contrite. Duh. He is an actor. it is doubtful he will serve any time if he is sentenced to county jail good old sherriff Baca will surely set him loose in no time at all.

55. John (#50) thanks for citing the CA penal code, but jail is not going to make the family feel better. Nothing will bring back their loved one. Sure, he'll do some time under the law, but so what? The most important thing for both families is that this death is not in vain. I'm glad Garrison is remorseful and wants to send an message to young people. Maybe this tragedy will prevent other tragedies from happening.

57. It's good to see someone accepting responsibility. I hope it's real, and not merely trying to get a lighter sentence.

It's good to remind people not to drink and drive.

And it's good to remind people that as the passenger (of a responsible age) you have a duty to yourself to make sure you are with a safe driver....and a duty to others to take away the keys if you think they're not.

Yes, the ultimate onus is on the driver themselves. We can't remove that blood from Lane Garrison's hands. But we need to look out for ourselves and each other a little more.

58. Even if he is just acting in an attempt to minimize his punishment, atleast he is publicizing the incident and sending out a message about the conquences of drunk driving. In other words, whether he is sincere or not, maybe he will teach someone else a lesson.

59. "Yeah, I am sorry that I got underaged kids drunk, then I drove drunk and killed one of them. Since I am wealthy, can I get probation?"

I will be pissed if he gets less time than Paris, who I believe was way overcharged compared to everyone else!
