Lane Garrison Relives Deadly Drunk Driving Crash

TMZ has obtained a chilling video in which former "Prison Break" star Lane Garrison relives the night someone died while he drove drunk behind the wheel of a car.

Fighting back tears and with his voice trembling, Garrison has gone back in front of the cameras -- to record a powerful and graphic public service announcement was directed by Andrew Gallery for The Troy and Alana Pack Foundation.

Hoping to prevent people from making the same deadly mistake he did in the December 2006 crash night, which resulted in the death of 17-year-old Vahagn Setian, Garrison warns drivers, "Just don't drink and drive, it's not worth it, it's just not worth it." Eerily realistic recreated footage of a drunk driving accident plays between clips of Lane's emotional plea. Amid the devastating wreckage, a frantic woman can be heard screaming "My boyfriend is dead!"

Garrison pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter, felony DUI with bodily injury and one misdemeanor count of providing alcohol to a minor. Sentencing is scheduled for August 2.

76. I feel for him & everyone affected by the event. I hope he doesn't get alot of time behind bars and can get alot of community service instead. I believe he's a good kid who deserves a chance after he's served his time. Furthermore, I don't agree with letting children (anyone under 18) in the same bar/nightclub as adults (anyone over 18). I know it's in California but some people need to get better grip on their doorman. I understand that Lane was/is a celebrity and the kids were fans but that does not mean you GO somewhere with the celeb. Period. That was someone they had just met. I'm not saying LG isn't responsible for his actions; I'm saying that the Teenagers with him should have been more responsible as well.

77. I am of the opinion that you can only bash this guy if you have never once in your life driven while impaired or allowed another person to. Because the statistics say that you have and like he said, you were lucky.

I, like many people, have driven while impaired more times than I would like to admit and never had any problems whatsoever. This video had made me realize its time to stop pushing my luck. Thanks, Lane.

78. The really sad irony in all of this is that those loser idiots Lohan, Paris and Nicole could have easily been this man. But hey, let them keep mocking the system.

79. There are not enough videos like these to get through to those who drink and drive and kill and live. Choice making can be serious business. This young man, celebrity or not still has to live with the bad choices he made. For him and everyone else, it is never too late to start making good decisions that leave positive affects.Good for the people who keep trying.

80. I can not feel sorry for anyone that makes a choice to get behind the wheel of a car while drunk. The person they hit did not HAVE a choice. Sorry, no sympathy from me for this drunk driver.

81. First I'd like to commend all you folks that are so fast to condemn this guy. I'm sure you have never had a lapse of judgement or made any kind of mistake. Hat's off to you! This guy is human and made a tragic mistake that he will live with all his life. I don't condone what he did but I seriously doubt this video is some kind of ploy for leniency. Put yourself in his shoes and walk for a bit. Hurts doesn't it? Anyone with the slightest bit of heart can feel his pain as well as the family of the person who was killed.

82. there is no solution for this kind of tradgedy we are still unwilling to put alcohol behind us as a thing of the past ie make it totally not available to anyone in a way this man is the victim of a society that loves to dring and what is responsible drinking? there is no such thing time to get rid of all the alcohol in this country then there will be no more drunk driving and if there is from home brew these people deserve to find the end of the road in prison without parole

83. This incident, however tragic, is the victim's own fault. He knew (or should have known) that he was getting in a car with an impaired driver. Basically, he was asking for it. Getting into a car when you know the driver is impaired is a death wish.

84. YOU TELL ME THAT THIS LANE PERSON HAD NEVER SEEN OR HEARD OF THE DANGERS OF DRUNK DRIVING UNTIL HE ACTUALLY KILLED AN INNOCENT PERSON? OH PLEASE. ANYONE WITH HALF A BRAIN CAN TELL YOU THAT DRINKING AND DRIVING DONT MIX LIKE VODKA AND ICED TEA, THAT LOADED GUNS FIRE BULLETS THAT KILL PEOPLE AND SO ON. I HAD A COUSIN KILLED BY A DRUNK DRIVER WHO WAS AN OLYMPIC DIVER AND I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN BEHIND THE WHELL EVEN AFTER A SIP OF ALCOHOL LET ALONE ENOUGH TO IMPAIR ME SEVERELY...SORRY BUT I AM NOT BUYING THIS LITTLE CLIP OF CRAP

85. He was just caught and is regretful that he was caught and the fact that he ws caught and murdered someone and was caught is the reason why he is so scared!

86. I hope that those of you who call names, who judge harshly, who think it is okay to point fingers and curse Aaron.... will remember this in the future when the circle goes round!

I admire the fact that he is doing this message to try to use his image to show that he is not perfect, that he is sorrowful, and that he wants to warn young people! Its powerful, its real, it is admirable! Best wishes in court!

88. I think that celbs these days have a mind mentality, that they think they are perfect because they have money. they think that nothing like this would happen to them , and when it happens they are shocked. i think he is brave for one, to admit. but to go in front of the cameras to tell what happen, and to warn others not to drink and drive. Now thats brave!

89. At least he's stepping up to the plate and taking accountablity for his actions that killed another person. As a mom of 2 boys in their late teens, I think his public education attempt will worn others and make them think twice about drinking and driving.

Sad he had to become the proverbial poster child of what happens when you choose drink and drive. But, at least he's trying to use the situation to try and warn others.

90. I was at a party several years ago when someone who obviously had too much to drink decided to drive home. He got up, put on his jacket and headed for the door. And I looked at everybody there and said, surely no one here is going to let him leave like that. And only one person responded, saying that he didn't like the guy anyway.

I said that wasn't the point. What if someone at another party with the same stupid attitude let someone drive home drunk because they didn't like him and wound up lilling his wife in a car crash? Still, nobody made a move or said a word.

So I followed him out to his car, told him I'd drive him home, pick him up in the morning and return him to his car. It was time to leave that party.

I was in my early twenties at the time, and these were my friends from college. I decided at that point that I needed better friends.
