Nicole Confirms Worst Kept Secret in Hollywood

Nicole Richie finally tells the world: "Yes, I am. We are. I'm almost four months."

In an exclusive sit-down with Diane Sawyer, the celebutante talks for the first time about the impending birth of her child with Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden.

ABC says in the interview, which airs on "Good Morning America" Thursday and Friday and on Hot mommas -- click to launch"20/20" Friday night, Richie "speaks candidly about why this particular constellation of young female stars -- Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears, among others -- have behaved badly so publicly." She should know!

As for her upcoming stint in the slammer, Richie told Sawyer, "I have a responsibility and it's something that I did wrong, and if I could personally apologize to every single person that has lost a loved one from drunk driving I would," she said of her recent guilty plea. "And unfortunately I can't, but this is my way of paying my dues and taking responsibility and being an adult."

By the way, TMZ told you this tidbit on July 3rd.

63. her conception of a child is amazing, omg. She is soooo underweight, it is sooo sad that she is pregnant :( that baby will be lucky enough to survive 9 months in her womb let alone growing up with her as a mother?!? member when she told the 9 year old boy to flick off his dad?

she should be studied for medical research if that baby comes out healthy! hopefully she will not find a doc like the ones anna nicole had when she was preg (who prescribed drugs)...

is joel on drugs why is he with her?

64. to all those women who take care of themselves and struggle to conceive, i can only imagine how you might feel, i was luck enough that my husband and i conceived easily. I can understand why a pregnant anorexic, drug addict, drunk driver could sting a little bit. The thing with nicole is that she has money so she will pay docs to keep the baby healthy despite her bad habits and poor lifestyle. I dont think she will ever change, she hasnt yet. She is still doing drugs and is still reckless. I hope at the very least she will slip away into the unknown just a blurb on tmz once in awhile. I cant imagine any reputable company employing her.

Yeah simple life cancelled!

How can you judge someone you've never met? you have no idea what is like to be in her shoes. she obviously has issues but so does everyone & their mother. give the girl a break for once. i think she is an incredibly talented beautiful young woman & once she gets through her "issues" she's gonna shine. She has alot of talent & charisma inside her! Stop drinkin that haterade people!

70. Some of you bitter hags need to figure out why you are society's outcasts. I wish Nicole the best, She is not too small to have a child you Neanderthals.
She has taken full responsibility for all of her acts and so far sense learning she is pregnant has lived a quite low key life drug free.
She has stated she does not even know why she is famous!
You negative bitter people sure get empowered when no one can see your life lol.

72. have any of you considered that not everyone gains 100 pounds when they are pregnant? Also do any of you realize that you should not gain more than 15-20 pounds when you are pregnant and the ones that do are not eating properly or getting the exercise they should be, therefore they get fat? Have any of you considered the fact that umm she may be EXERCISING and is eating well?

Dont hate on her because shes not living on McDonalds and probably has " The Hired Help" around her taking care of her diet and exercise..... She is going to be a great mom and the kid is going to be fine stop being so negative because you cant have what she does and move on...

74. Okay,
Paris is a walking id 10 t error. That is a technical computer term. Here people, I will put it together for you id10t error. Furthermore, she is without integrity and all of those other traits that make us human.

But...

I am going to throw caution to the wind here and give this one a very small chance before I cast judgement.

Because this one has done some good in the community. She has openly went on TV a number of times and has been honest about her problems (addictions and such) and has tried to put her experience to good use. She has shown honesty. And on a side note, I don't hear about Nicole out on the town showing us her cha cha, etc...

Sure we wonder abou why she is so thin and that is what we read about. So... with that... I am going to hold judgement (as you all should) and just wait to see what happens. The arrival of a child can and has changed many lives.

Let us all pray together people.
