Golden Gals Gone Wild

Ever pictured the gals from the "Golden Girls" dressed up in leather and whips -- or just plain naked? Of course you have. Live the fantasy -- with the new "Golden Gals Gone Wild" art show, set to open in Los Angeles on August 11.

After purchasing a Chris Zimmerman oil painting of Bea Arthur in full frontal view, Lenora Claire felt inspired to create a show where artists submitted their naughtiest versions of the "Girls." This is the most age-inappropriately sexy show since Dennis Franz bared it all on "NYPD Blue."

Allow ample time after eating, and check out the link.

66. Bea Arthur with breasts? Yes, she has them. Maybe she has 3 of them, who knows, but I could realllllllly do without the image. It's a little freaky. Kind of like walking in on your parents having sex - it happens, but you're just never the same again. LOL

71. Fentopal,
I'm well aware of the beautiful John Currin piece. I would have loved to have had it in the show. If the owner has any interest in joining the show which has now had many offers to tour they certainly know where to find me. As for the art being "better" there are almost 40 pieces in the show and you've only seen one. Why don't you come down to the show August 11th at the World of Wonder gallery space 6650 Hollywood Blvd so you can make an informed opinion.

73. To those of you taking this way too seriously and adamantly stating that it's not art, that it's gross and sexist and whatever else:
If you go into the Louvre and hang around the Mona Lisa picture for a while at any given time, you may see a few people staring in quiet reverence at it, but you will see many more people complaining how homely she is, how dull the actual picture is, why is it so expensive, and the other so-and-so painting DaVinci did was so much better, jokes about Dan Brown's book, as well as general complaints about feet hurting, being tired and hungry, the Louvre is too big. That's supposed to be one of the greatest masterpieces of all time, and that's the kind of reception it gets. I'm betting the Golden Girls Gone Wild show will generate more fun and laughter and good times than the Mona Lisa does in a whole month.

I would love to have that Bea Arthur painting and I'd hang it on my wall right in the living room where everyone would see it. The kind of crowd I hang out with would bust up laughing every time they saw it and have fun with it.
