31. The irreputable values of this Scary are clear with the hiring of Gloria Allred (after knowing Eddie Murphy for only six months)! Any sane woman doesn't know someone well enough (until beyond the six-month mark of dating) to even know if they should commit to a lifetime with that person let alone have a child! You wait, watch, and observe as her children are going to grow up to be extraodinarily messed up.

Eddie Murphy publically stated prior to the DNA test that he would support the (child) if it was proven to be his. TMZ makes these blogs look very one sided....where's Eddie Murphy's side to this story?

You women who get on these TMZ blogs and think that men should be used as sperm donors (no matter their position in life) are dead wrong! What has happened to our morals and values in America!

It is not only a man's responsibility to protect himself but a woman needs to take charge of her own body and (should an accident occur) there's an alternative choice....abortion.... in that very early stage! This is not the type of foundation that creates psychologically strong children! We need to rethink our laws in the United States regarding these intentional out-of-wedlock births and the financial payoffs!

36. The courts cant force him to have a relationship with the baby and an attorney will tell you that. Melanie is filing suit so that pretty much says he isnt paying any kind of support or insurance benefits to the baby. I doubt that she thinks that she can make Eddie love or care about the baby but by god she can make him support her.

Eddie Murphy has shown that he is a dead beat parent to this child and the sad fact is that he is like many other out there.(this also includes women) This baby regardless of how she was concieved deserves the same life style that her father provides to his other children. Eddie and his new woman were very quick to state publically that he would stand by the baby IF it was his and DNA test showed it was, now its time to put up or shut up and they both have shut up. Melanie doesnt need his money and can do fine without him, it seems she is teaching him a lesson .. you gonna play... you gonna pay. All you mothers out there would do the same thing for your own child so why bash her?

WTF is this??? Single parents are good role models too and have raised GREAT kids with moral values that usually are better than some kids raised in a nuclear family where mom and dad fight all the time, one og them cheats or abuses and they stay together "for the sake of the kids" when in fact one doesnt want to pay support and they make life miserable till the kids turn 18.

How in the hell are the courts going to prove that a woman intentionally got pregnant for financial gain? Are you stupid? Abortion is a womans choice.. bottom line and you will necer see the day when women are dragged into a clinic and an abortion is forced on to her because she had a one nighter.

41. I have always liked Eddie Murphy as an actor, and he even seemed like a good guy in 'real' life. However his recent behavior towards his child by Melanie has really tarnished my image of him. It's sad that it would take court proceedings to get him to do what is responsible as a Father. I sure hope that he doesn't ignore this child and will have visitation with her. It's so important for children to have their fathers in their lives.

45. I love seeing people say "well maybe she lied and said she was on birth control.." So his fingers were broken and he was incapable of birth control on his end (no pun intended)? Did it not occur to people that things like this happen? Not everyone has sex to get paid... Instead of bringing a child into the world, I could think of a different profession for those who think that way... Some of these posters sound like my husband's ex wife... She has four kids from 4 men (the first was my husband's child, the second is the reason they got divorced).. She doesn't work because she gets a lot of child support. But whatever you gotta do to get paid, right?

She won't have a problem taking care of the child, but he needs to grow up (finally) and be responsible. God forbid he should act like an adult... Its really not necessary to automatically point fingers at the woman... If he could be involved in the creation of a child, he obviously has the ability to be responsible for birth control himself. Its just too bad that Melanie chose to be in a relationship with such a sleazebag.
