16. Yes, he made a horrible mistake. So did the kids in the car. The boy who died was under 18, his parents thought it was okay to have him party all night long and were then SHOCKED that something happened. The parents should be on trial as well.

18. this just totally goes against his PSA. I guess he should have said "Never have people drug your drink without you knowing it. You could end up killing someone like I did." All my respect for him owning up to his actions just went out the window.

25. you act like the person who died should not take responsibility for getting in a car with someone who has been drinking. The girl is all mad because her friend died, well where the hell was she when they got in the car in the first place. She needs to take responsibility for her actions as well.

Lane could have taken this trial and dragged it out for months, but he didn't he plead guilty WITHOUT a plea deal. Something most people will not do.

28. Here's the thing: GHB is harder to detect than the other roofies, namely rohyphnol, because it has a significantly less salty taste than the others and can easily be overpowered by the alcoholic drink it is dropped in, or even a soda.

Lane needs to tell his lawyers to shut up; he was trying to do the right thing by pleading guilty, and they are making him look like any other spoiled celebrity who can't take responsibility for his actions. First they claimed the kid who was killed in the accident's death was his own fault for getting in the car with a drunk driver in the first place and now they're saying Lane isn't even at fault for his own level of intoxication. Lane needs to be a man and own up to everything. If he thought he was drugged that gave him even LESS right to get behind the wheel of a car: alcohol impairs, but roofies knock you out completely. Had he fallen asleep at the wheel, more people would be injured or dead right now.
