Dog Free: "We're Not Saying We Told You So ..."

The DogDuane "Dog" Chapman found out conclusively today that he won't be locked up in a Mexican jail -- and he could barely contain his relief. Que bueno!

In a statement to AETV.com, the famed Bounty Hunter told fans, "I'm just like in shock right now," after a Mexican court granted him his freedom this morning. Still, he refused to take the opportunity to talk trash; instead, the clearly emotionally drained Dog -- one of TV's toughest tough guys -- just lost it.

Meanwhile, his Huntress, Beth Chapman, gave us the news update, namely that a court in Puerto Vallarta considered the motion of Dog's lawyers -- which said that the statute of limitations had run out -- and decided to let Dog and his two associates go free. "Many many mahalos," says Beth to Dog's supporters, "and aloha."

182. Who ever put that entry containing the list of offenses by Mr. Chapman, and the other ones that call him a criminal, I hope you never have a wife or daughter who is drugged, raped and photographed by someone. His capturing of a serial rapist is enough to wipe his own actions clean in my mind. I hope he continues with his HIGHLY successful pursuit of criminals.

183. i'm so glad to read that there are ppl on here who actually love what Dog and Beth and Family are doing to help clean up Hawaii. the few "haters" in this bunch, what are you? PERFECT? if we all had to live up to YOUR standards, we wouldn't survive! live and let live, ppl. but remember that those that are bad among us and don't make an effort to change their ways like Dog has, DESERVE to be punished! here's hoping that max luster gets what's coming to him! :)

184. After watching this unfold over the past few months, it is obvious to any thinking person that our government is working some kind of deal with Mexico. With Dog's case and the case of the border guards thrown in prison, I think that Mexico's corruption has leaked into our system also.

I guess Ernie Fletcher saw something in Dog you didn't, a good guy maybe? Is that why Dog was made honorary colonel of our state? Maybe you and Gov Fletcher would like to exchange opinions on the matter?

Good Luck to the Chapman Family.

186. I am happy to see that our country came together for at least THREE People and was instrumental in getting them set free. Congrats to you Dog, Leeland and Tim, you deserve the very best. ^5 Beth for being their main supporter in all this they could not have done it without you. To all the negative comments IGNORE them, they obviously have their own issues and guilt. I worked in the Criminal Justice system for 7 years and no one knows what we go through. You guys keep up the good work. ALOHA!!!
