Dog Free: "We're Not Saying We Told You So ..."

The DogDuane "Dog" Chapman found out conclusively today that he won't be locked up in a Mexican jail -- and he could barely contain his relief. Que bueno!

In a statement to AETV.com, the famed Bounty Hunter told fans, "I'm just like in shock right now," after a Mexican court granted him his freedom this morning. Still, he refused to take the opportunity to talk trash; instead, the clearly emotionally drained Dog -- one of TV's toughest tough guys -- just lost it.

Meanwhile, his Huntress, Beth Chapman, gave us the news update, namely that a court in Puerto Vallarta considered the motion of Dog's lawyers -- which said that the statute of limitations had run out -- and decided to let Dog and his two associates go free. "Many many mahalos," says Beth to Dog's supporters, "and aloha."

61. I'm glad Mexico reconsidered. If they kept him the United States would have left him there and not helped. I'm sure Dog knows this and I am sure he was scared to death knowing his life was in the hands of Mexico.

I'm glad to see that unlike the United States Mexico has half a brain in thier head.

63. #62 Mr. Mass

I couldnt agree with you more... AMEN..... Its time we stopped letting illegals and other countries try and run our country. Either they get with the program or they can leave, our forefathers didnt found this country so those who disrespect it could destroy it.

64. I am so glad this CONVICT didn't get a dime!

CBS/AP) The bounty hunter who captured convicted rapist Andrew Luster in Mexico won't receive any of the $1 million bail the fugitive Max Factor heir forfeited when he vanished during his trial, a judge ruled.

Bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman was not entitled to any share of the money because he was acting on his own and not as a legally authorized bail recovery agent when he snatched Luster off a street in Puerto Vallarta on June 18, Superior Court Judge Edward Brodie ruled Tuesday.

66. Way to go Dog and Posse, I had no doubt about it. I watch the show religiously, believe it.
You do your fugitive job (and very well and professionally too) and I'll do my EMS job (I'm an
EMT in NJ.) We have met before and I will always remember it. Again, congrats and keep up the good work.

67. Karolina, inventing Color Television does not mean we owe anything to Mexico. Plus even if Guillermo Gonzalez Camarena did invent it, that was 1940. One invention in 60 years, pardon me if backflips don't ensue.
Mexico did not invent computers, cars, the internet, the telephone, televison etc etc so I'd say we can call that color TV favor paid.
Mexican citizens break American laws ALL THE TIME in the US and don't get charged either. Niether has a perfect system. The difference here is Dog broke a law for the betterment of society at large(and no doubt his ego).

73. You know, people who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Last I heard, no one here on Earth is perfect, and without fault. Dog, no matter what he or his wife look like, captured a serial rapist. I dont care if he went to Hong Kong to do it. He rid the streets of one more piece of garbage, and that is what matters....not his past convictions, not Beth's screw-ups, or even the way they live. Apparently, there are people out there who think they are perfect, and deserve the right to pass judgement. Guess what people......NOBODY'S PERFECT!!!!! Dog and Beth have both openly admitted that they have made some bad choices, and they have paid the price for it. So, to all of you who want to bring up their past, it's yesterdays news! If its a redneck that can clean up the streets for our children, sobeit.

Dog, love the show and love the positive influence you try to impact upon these criminals. Keep up the good work. Share God's love most importantly.
