Celebrity Justice
Garrison Could Dodge Bullet

lane garrisonAfter the dramatic testimony in Lane Garrison's sentencing, a dramatic twist just went down.

Garrison's lawyers, Richard Hutton and Harland Braun, have apparently asked the court for a "diagnostic." That means Garrison will be sent to a California prison for 90 days, where shrinks and others will determine if Garrison is a suitable candidate for probation.

Sources say behind closed doors, the D.A. vehemently opposed the judge's order, favoring four years hard time instead.

If the judge goes along with the defense request, the smart money is that the shrinks will say Garrison is a suitable candidate for probation and the judge will agree. That would mean Garrison would serve 90 days.

Garrison will probably spend the first 30 days in L.A. County Jail, waiting to be sent to prison for evaluation.

16. Is Lane guilty? Of course. Are there facts that we as the public are unaware of? Absolutely. Are we judging based on the reporting of gossip media? It seems so. Get a clue, you idiots. Lane could help so many others by educating through his mistakes, not going away to prison because of an awful accident in which all of the participants were drunk. Sentence him to a tour of highschools for drunk driving awareness and take advantage of his "celebrity status" and inform impressionable minds not to make his mistake. Don't lock him up and throw away the key. It does no one justice.

17. It pays BIG dividends (as you can already see what he's trying to pull off) to have a high priced lawyer covering your ass!!

18. I think a year or two, he screwed up...but everyone in the car knew he was messed up and took the risk of personally being hurt/killed or hurting/killing others on the road. I hold all of them responsible, poor choices all around. Age is no excuse, even as a teen I wouldn't have got in the car.

19. "Garrison could dodge a bullet " they said. Well he should get a bullet in his ass I think. That dead young man won't be walking out free in 90 days.

The boy is dead !! And Garrison goes free because someone liked his character or pretty face. Please!! Come on people!!

20. As far as I'm concerned, good person or bad person, he drank, drove & someone died. Maybe he's not a premeditated murderer, but he still broke the law & a person died because of it. If that was one of us there'd be no question.
