lane garrisonGarrison's lawyer Harland Braun just said, "Mr. Garrison should be sentenced based on the facts. He has a version in which he was approached to buy the alcohol and he inadvertently did it. He criminally caused the accident because he was a drunk driver. Suggesting Vahagn was partially at fault, Braun said, "The young man died because he was sitting in a car with a drunk driver."

As for the PSA, Braun said, "It was designed to be a depiction of how horrific this accident can be. It wasn't designed to be a recreation of this accident."

Braun continued, "This was a minor mistake in driving. Any drunk driver could have done it."

Braun then said, "The point we are trying to make is this is a tough case. Good people are drunk drivers."

I am usually the first person to jump onto the 'people don't take enough personal responsibility' train', but that is total BS.
Can you prove the kid KNEW Lane was drunk or "slipped GHB",Mr. Sleeze Lawyer? No,because he died.
I thought Lane was gonna be the one celebrity to do the right thing. Guess not.

34. May the family of the deceased kid, sue in Civil Court and Win... Good people do not, drive drunk... If they do... They accept responsibility for their poor choice... This guy was the "adult," I think the deceased was a minor... Please, the atty is a readon, why so many hate attorney's... Bad choice of words... What a awful thing to say... He was a minor...

35. Good people are drunk drivers? Drunk drivers are irresponsible. Therefore, good people are irresponsible? No way!!!

How do we define "good people" nowadays? To me, good people are conscientious. I guess, Garrison's conscience was asleep when HE CHOSE TO DRINK AND DRIVE.

37. When a drunk driver kills a person in California, they usually get eight years in prison for vehicular manslaughter.

A young police officer in Sacramento got eight years earlier this year, so an actor should get at least that many years! Lane had plenty of money - he easily could have got a taxi or a limo to get him home.

His blood alcohol reading was more than TWICE the legal limit in California and he should be put in prison for several years. He killed someone!

Our justice system is partly to blame for not sending alcohol vehicular man slaughter slime to prison for life..... you kill somebody while drinking and driving you lose your life as you know it...... that would get the attention of brain dead alcohilcs including retarded millionaires who don't want to hire a driver.

40. What this lawyer is saying is so horrible. He has the gaul to blame the victim!! His client is the one who made the biggest mistake for driving drunk. And this lawyer should be ashamed of what he said of the victim.
The victim is now no longer here. And this so called client is still trying to play the good guy act. Now they are trying to say he was given the date rape drug. And that is why he was driving drunk. He took some responsibility. Now he is hiding behind the truth. And this so called lawyer should be having a lot of trouble sleeping. As he is not man enough to say the truth. That his client is the Only GUILTY one is this matter.
