MySpace's Tom: I Am Not Your Friend!

Tom Anderson, co-founder of MySpace and supposedly a friend of everyone, has his very own "bodyguard" -- as one of his buddies swatted TMZ's camera away last night. Not friendly!

Our photog was outside Mood last night, where Tom went into an X-Games pre-party for a grand total of 19 minutes -- he exited smiling, but in no mood to talk to the photographers. Give him some, er, space?!

His buddy then struck our camera ... TMZ must not be one of his favorites! He's off our Top 8!

46. These comments went from Tom being rude to this guy named Bob starting all sorts of crap. Hey Bob - this may come as a shock to you but they days of being embarrassed to be seen or babied by your parents is way over. I think its "cool" (to put it in a term you can relate to) that these kids are proud of their mom. My mom was cool as could be. I had a curfew, yet if I went to a party she knew about it, and I either stayed there and gave up my keys or my mom came and got us. All my friends mom's were like this. See being open with your parents is a good thing. Face it, kids are going to party and you can either accept it or deal with the consequences by turning a blind eye to it. MarineMom is doing the right thing, plus she even said her kids no she is doing it, that is not spying.

I suggest you go to your mom and give her a big hug and tell her you love her becuase having a son like you is probably killing your mother inside. She gave birth to you and you need to treat her like an angel. Same with your dad.

47.
Okay, I agree that this Bob character is probably some teen or thirty year old loser who had issues with his mom. Myspace.com is an interesting place. You cannot say that all it has on it is advertisement and that Tom and his partners sold out. Myspace.com may have tons of advertisements but it is still used by millions of people to keep in touch. There are Thousands of websites going up everyday in hopes of becoming popular. Myspace.com just happened to become on of those sites and Newscorp(AKA Fox) came along and offered Tom and his partners alot of money. So what if this guy got lucky, Big whoop!. He is now really famous just for being a webmaster of myspace.com. He is just doing his job. But whether he likes it or not he is now a celebrity and this kinda of crud with the media happens to celebrities alot.

Also Proud Marine Mom, you are a model mother from what I hear. My mom is one of those parents who will make her own myspace and does keep an eye on her kids. I do not really like her being so nosy but its nice to know she cares. And I pray your son will come home safe.

51. Lissabell, You are right! I have 3 sons; a skateboarder, an athlete and a Marine.
People still tell me that my skateboarder is so sweet and that shocks them because he looks like a skateboarder. I don't think I did too bad. They are all open and honest with me.

I think if parents would be a part of their childrens daily walk in life and stop trying to fight their daily walk in life; young people would not rebel so much.

I have enjoyed the teenage years with my sons. These days, not too many parents can say
that.

Look me up on myspace........

52. Proud Marine MOM- I have a 4, 2 and 9 week old and believe me I plan on keeping my kids in check once they hit their teens. I believe as parents we have that right and responsibility. Unfortunately, our society has created too many tools for the nut cases to get at our children. I'm 30 and used to ride my bike around the block, stay out til the street lights came on and many other things that I would never even dream of letting my children do. I take them for walks, bike rides and heck, I even sit in the back yard as they play. There are many crazies living in this world and it's our children who are their prey! My children ARE worth me checking up on them! What about BOB?

We owe so much to our troops over in Iraq and I for one, am proud of each and everyone of those brave men and women. They give up sharing life with their families to fight for us. I couldn't imagine being away from my children on the other side of the world. I am PROUD to be an American and we are blessed to have our troops!

BOB-you are just and ass! Plain and simple

53. Bob - I have done the same thing as Proud Marine Mom for the last 4 years my son has been on myspace- he knows I have the password and up until his 18th bday last week I looked on it weekly. It is not spying it is called careing and protecting. Proud Marine MOM keep it up keeps our kids safe.

54. Proud Marine Mom- I wish I knew how to find you on myspace because I'd add you in a heartbeat. I only hope I have the type of relationship you have with your children!

55. Proud Marine MOM- kudos I have logged on to my sons myspace for the last 4 yrs he gave me the password I go on it couple times a week up unitl last week when he turned 18 I told him he can change the password, but has not. All I know is he graduated with out doing drugs, smoking or drinking not to say he won't , but he talks to me about everything and I feel this only helped. BOB is a sad fool.

56. Think about it. You wouldn't want people following you around with cameras all the time. I should wouldn't. I would have done the same thing.. and so would most of you, who are sitting here ragging on him. He's a smart guy.. I mean, he CREATED myspace. And I don't think he deserves this stereotype. Yeah, the guy who created a website where we can easliy chat to family and friends, near or far, and find long-lost friends with the click of a mouse. Yeah, he's a real mean guy.
Honestly.
