PETA to Hasselbeck -- "Cluck You!"

Whoopi's long overdue employment announcement wasn't the only news on "The View" yesterday. Elisabeth Hasselbeck revealed the thigh slapping news that she has chopped off a chicken's head -- and PETA thinks that's just foul!

After using hand motions to describe how to accurately decapitate a chicken, grossing out the audience more than she usually does, polite talk then resumed. Now Lizzy's in the soup with PETA, and they had this nugget for the right wing chicken winger:

"PETA has two words for Hasselbeck, 'Cluck you!' Next to Barbara and Joy, who expressed compassion, Elisabeth sat there chirping about the joys of killing defenseless birds. Conservatives love animals too, and she ruffled a lot of feathers today. Now that Whoopi has joined the show, maybe it's time for Hasslebeck's head to go on the chopping block."

Reps for "The View" had no comment.

THE REASON THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT PETA WAS BECAUSE OF THE BOOK "SKINNY BITCH", WHICH IS A TOUGH-LOVE DIET BOOK THAT GIVES VERY BLUNT DIET ADVICE, BUT IT ALSO ADVOCATES BECOMING VEGAN FOR WEIGHT CONTROL. I OWN THE BOOK, IT IS ABSOLUTELY GREAT. GOOD ADVICE, AND VERY FUNNY. THE GIRLS ON THE VIEW FOCUSED ON THE VEGETARIAN PART OF IT, BUT IT IS MORE THAN THAT, AND I FOUND IT REALLY HELPFUL.

82. One way or the other could care less about this lady. She has no impact on my life. Just the sheer amusement of reading ramblings on TMZ. But thank god so many people hate her, Theres no bad publicity. It only makes the ratings go up.

You may disagree with her, But it is still The View....... Women with different view points take it or leave it. You hate her.... don't watch. Or write the producers.

It would also seem to me that most people do not kill chickens themselves now days, they just buy it frozen in a bag. And it would not only gross most people out but frighten them as well. SHE WAS ON SURVIVOR folks. No food, no comfort,no grocery stores..... She rose to the occasion to do it, she's proud she was able to do it.... Big deal!

85. Piss off PETA! I am a conservative and while I love animals, I have been deer hunting, duck hunting and dove hunting. Alas, these two feminine hands have even SKINNED a deer. OH THE HORROR!!!!!!! And I'll also say this...if I was hungry, I'd do it again. They are ANIMALS after all.
