Chavez Chills with Sean Penn

Rabble-rousing actor/Madonna ex Sean Penn is taking his show on the road -- with Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez. The politically-charged star has been hanging with Venezuela's socialist leader during a tour of the Venezuelan countryside.

The Chavez-Penn love affair was sparked, said Chavez, because Penn is "anti-Bush." Danny Glover and Harry Belafonte have also had face time with the Venezuelan leader.

Said Penn of his visit: "I'm also here as a journalist and so I owe it to that medium to wait until I've digested, fact-checked and finished my journey here" before saying more. The "Mystic River" actor has also done reporting stints in Iran and Iraq.

51. He didn't go to college.

I can only hope that he has the opportunity to hang out with Osama. Given the chance, there is no doubt in my mind that he would. Then we can drop bombs on both of them, while they enjoy their little tea party.

55. "Progressive thinkers" lol truly believe those who believe differently then they do are just uneducated and stumble their way through issues in this country by listening to media and radio personality's! They feel people could be manipulated much more easily if only they could shut that radio off! People cannot possibly believe in the causes these Media personality's are talking on about, They must be giving away free camping gear or something!
Lib's oh sorry ( progressive thinkers :) on the other hand are educated and well read not to be confused with lower class people who gather by the millions to change this country into a safe secure environment for their children.
I have no loyalty to any party but I do see the self righteousness of those that believe by intimidating and using their self inflated heightened awareness of all things important to further their own agenda's are loosing ground big time because of their own arrogance and ignorance..

57. TRAITOR
Damm the Loons from Hollywood . . . what is wrong with them? Okay, USA has it's problems but look at what we do have going for us! These idiots who bash their homeland have it pretty damm easy and would not be where they are today if not for America. I lost interest in seeing these moron's movies several years ago, about the same time I lost interest in following professional sports. IT MAKES ME SICK TO THINK OF HOW MR. PENN CAN TURN HIS BACK ON AMERICA WHEN AMERICA IS THE LAND THAT GAVE HIM THE OPPORTUNITY TO ACHIEVE HIS CAREER. To hell with celebs like Penn, Danny Glover, Kanya West, and all the rest of the wack-a-doos ! I hope their careers suffer from their lack of respect for our homeland !!!

59. #19- I completely agree with you!

To: #24 Posted at 3:28PM on Aug 4th 2007 by real AMERICAN ---We do not live under a dictatorship. I am not a Bush supporter, however I was offended that the President of another country came here and stood on U.S. soil and bashed our leader. Would that have been possible under a dictatorship? What was even more disgusting was to see liberal actors like Danny Glover embracing him and cheering him on for his vulgar remarks. What they don’t see is they played right into Chavez’s p.r. scheme, which is all it is…He acts like he cares for the poor and puts on a big show on U.S. soil, yet ask the poor people of his country what they think of him? I’m having a difficult time imaging Sean Penn writing anything unbiased because his hatred of Bush is so intense.
