The average American woman is now a size 14!!!!!

It's been that way for at least a couple of years. It's CONSTANTLY discussed on everything from the national news to mentions in magazines.

You may not see it in NYC (I haven't) or LA, but it's a widely-recognized FACT!!!!!!!!! Please pay attention to what's going on in society. Why do you think there's an obesity epidemic??

There use to be a time where being a size 12 hourglass, bombshell was the goal of every woman in America. From Monroe to the sexy centerfolds of Playboy, that was IT! What the hell happened that we now call this FAT?! We have a problem with proportions in the country. There is a middle ground between wafer thin and obesity. It is called good ol’ healthy beauty. I battle my husband on this all the time. I point out a beautiful girl and he comments, “if you like em’ thick.” WTF!? Who are you comparing them too!?

Oh and BTW – before the “you must be fat remarks begin” … I'm 5'1" and 92 lbs… and I’ve never had an eating disorder... I’m just small-boned! ;D

If the average American woman is now a size 14, then IMO, they are over weight.

There is a huge obesity problem in the U.S. and just because someone is now the average weight or size for their gender, that does not mean that they are not overweight and unhealthy.

The average healthy weight for a 5'6" women, if you have a small-frame, is 120-133 lbs. Most women have medium-frames which an ideal healthy weight would be 130-144 lbs.

Certainly these are averages and I am making no comments on the condition of your health, but certainly you and your friends could gain a few pounds and still be healthy, beautiful women.

42. I just love all of the obviously hefty posters sticking up for one of their own. Look she may be talented but the FACT is she's OVER WEIGHT!
