Whoops! Designer Claims Braxton Bounced a Check

Toni BraxtonThe wardrobe designer who made costumes for Toni Braxton's Las Vegas show is suing the songstress, claiming she bounced a check for his designer duds. Un-break my bank account!

According to court papers filed on Friday, Anthony Franco was commissioned by Braxton and Liberty Entertainment, Inc. to design the entire wardrobe for Braxton's "Toni Revealed" show. Franco claims they agreed on a price of $35,000. Franco alleges that he received payment by check, which was returned for "insufficient funds." He then alleges the defendants put a stop payment on the check.

In the lawsuit, Franco claims he was eventually paid $20,000, but there is still a $15,000 balance. Braxton's show at the Flamingo Hotel began last August and is still going strong.

Calls to Toni Braxton's rep and attorney for comment were not immediately returned.

31. I don't mean to burst anyone's bubble but this woman has done 0 (thats zero) for the autistic community. If anything she acts ashamed and embarrased about her son's autism. One concert she was encouraged to talk about it and instead ran off in tears, turning it into about her instead of seizing the opportunity to educate hundreds of people. I'm sorry but that just sickened me. She is a selfish immature celebrity and this type of behavior doesn't suprise me in the least.

32. I'm with Spider and I'm Black. Toni Braxton is a sleeze w/ a pretty face.
If you agree to pay $35,000...pay it!! How did this get to be race issue. Toni owes the Tailor money...Don't bounce a check or stop pay on check and then no answer calls. Sending someone $20,000 and disappearing is a joke. She's overcharging for show..how would she like it if she got 1/3 what she agreed to in her contract? Black brothers and sisters...pay your the bills you generate...if you don't like want to pay the full price don't buy or fake an agreement. Also, Toni...your show sucks!!

34. Toni is one of the most beautiful women I have ever gazed upon and this is coming from a white guy. She is positively flawless and yes this woman can sing. She has challenges that only a few posters could possibly understand. I'm pretty sure that it takes more love and gumption than most would be willing or able to sacrifice for a special needs child.

I'm also sure it also taps her out from day to day and she gets exhausted and her shows may suffer some. I still have to commend her on doing all she can for her child. As this is the most purest form of love.

Hang in there Toni we love you still.

35. Toni is by any means broke!!!! She just renewed her contract w/ Flamingo Hotel for a reported 60million originally she signed for 30million!!! When she pacthed things up w/ Arista her recording contract was 28million up from!!! The Bitch AINT BROKE!!!
