Antonella's National Anthem?

Antonella BarbaAntonella Barba, the wannabeen "American Idol" with the racy pics, was recorded while "singing" the Star Spangled Banner at an event that seems to be a high school homecoming or junior high graduation -- which she then posted on her MySpace music page. Rollover Francis Scott Key!

Either nerves got to the winged songbird, or she wasn't sure which country's anthem she was singing -- because when Barba didn't quite know the words, like any pro, she just made 'em up! Genius!

Her mistakes were minor ... like changing "through the perilous fight" into "ooh the perilous fight," and "bombs bursting in air" to "bombs bursting in there." In where, gurl?! Every song should end on a good note -- although she might not have gotten that memo. Ant ends with "O'er the land of the free, IN the home of the brave!" Classic! Keep those hits coming!

6. I don't know why anyone would want to attempt to sing that song. It is one of the hardest songs to sing on key no matter how good a singer you are.

10. it's amazing at far looks will get you,, i mean gosh,, she made it as far as she did on American Idol based on her looks,, certainly not her singing,,, and this was the producers of the show,,, they hand picked this girl for ratings and to have that one "hot" girl on the show for the year,,
well,, little did that know,, Sanjaya would be cuter than her,, hehehehee

11. There should be a law that the National Anthem should be sung to a certain melody. No more drawing out the notes and up and down. She couldn't even get the words right, what does that say about the youth of today????

12. Martinsmama, I agree with ya! Only in this country can you butcher the national anthem & get away with it. It should be sung EXACTLY as written, no jazzing, rocking, rapping, hip-hopping, bluesing it up. And if anyone does, they should be charged with treason & thrown in jail.

As for that bimbo changing the words, maybe she should have spent more time practicing the song & less time on naughty pictures.

15. Number 7 it doesn't matter how bad or good she can she. It's the NATIONAL ANTHEM!! At least as an Amercian she should know the whole song. Stupid
