You Might Want to Rethink
The Miswardrobification of Lauryn Hill

Who left the gate open?! Seriously. Lauryn Hill is killin' em -- but not so softly!

L. Boogie was performing in Brooklyn at the 25th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series Bad Celebrity Fashion -- click to launchMonday -- where she was spotted wearing an '80s remix of Grace Jones crazy meets Ronald McDonald rouge with a dibble-dabble of Thriller era Jacko. Who's baaaad?!

She will cut you -- with those razor-sharp earrings! Double-up! Use your accessory as a weapon! Oooh la la la!

92. WOW! my eyes are blinded by the looks of her. What happened to Lauren Hill? She looks like a clown from Ringling brothers circus. She is such a good singer. Wonder if she looked in the mirror? She probably dont care what we all think but come on girl PLEASE take off the clown face!!!

93. For the person that sent the snopes article regarding Lauryn Hill's racist comments you may want to look a little closer and see where it says she has previously made racist remarks, she may not have said the exact words but she implies it. So, why are white people always the ones to get blamed for "racist" comments because the African American people go cry about any little thing we say that gets turned around but African Americans can get away with it because they're the minority? Which is not true in Mississippi where I'm from, I feel like the white people are the minority here. But in my opinion Hill's a racist bitch and look where it got her! HA! She deserves it and any other racist.... white or black deserves to go to hell...PERIOD

94. What a shame. This woman has truly lost her mind. What happened to the classy young woman who sang intelligent songs to a groovin beat? She gives all her money away to some wacky cult religious leader and then pops back into the spotlight looking like Grace Jones on crack!

95. Looks good on the crazy racist bitch!!! Hey she is stupid enough to "perform" after making comments like she did about white people - THAT is called reverse racism and its about time we spoke up! She makes Britney look like Betty Crocker! Serves her right - her "career" is in the toilet where it belongs!

96. Attributing racist comments and the differing views depending on who has said or allegedly said them seems to be a common and frequent stream here and on other sites. White people tend to think that they can't say anything ABOUT race without being called racist and that Black people are always saying racist things without being called on it. Black people tend to react to comments about race and cry racism almost by reflex.

First of all, none of us (including me) are authorities on race. Race and racism (a significant difference, often ignored) are interwoven into our society in such a way that it is almost impossible to discount it's influence. On the other hand it does not apply to all situations either. White people CAN be critical of black people without being racist. Black people, not everything has to do with race. The problem is the PC nature of out society. PC in and of itself is ok as a concept. The problem is PC has been put in place to counteract history. History tells us that when left unchecked as a society we will enslave or otherwise marginalize other human beings. Putting some artificial barrier like PC in front of that is a mismatch. Plus, here in the "land of the free", people don't like to be told what they can and can not say. When you add the resentment of that to an already volitale racial climate, you are going to bring out the worst in people.

102. Lauren, do YOU girl. The haters will always have something negative to say. When will OUR people stop looking at the physical and try to see the spirit within? When will we begin loudly criticizing the child molesters, the tax evaders, the misogynistic folk, and the murders in the (music) industry as loud as we criticize those who are trying to live decent lives?

103. I thought intelligent people used this sight. Lauryn's look is superficial. The silly people who are posting silly messages sound worse than what they dislike about what they are seeing. Why doesn't TMZ post the meaning behind the clothes. The look is meant to discount shallow people who are easily distracted by people's look, rather than what is real.
