'Big Brother' Shiksa

Shiksa Learns

Jews Have Jewish Names

8/8/2007 12:59 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Click to play!Relations between Israel and the "Big Brother" house are strained today, after a somewhat anti-Semitic rant from crybaby housemate Amber hit the Internet this week. Oy vey!

Where to begin, already? First of all, Amber said the majority of Jews she knows are "selfish." She then went on to say that her mom and sister explained to her that one can tell who is Jewish based on "their last name" and "by their nose." Gevalt! Amber then proceeded to tell a story about a selfish waitress she worked with who turned out to be ... wait for it ... Jewish! Didn't see that one coming! A shonda!

Jameka, who was on the receiving end of Amber's deep thoughts, reminded Amber that she shouldn't make blanket statements like that. "Yeah, you're right," Amber replied. "There is so much to think about." Most of which, it would seem, Amber has avoided thus far. Shmendrik.

William S. Paley, Ukrainian Jew, was largely responsible for the rise of the CBS network.

UPDATE: Abraham Foxman, National Director of the
Anti-Defamation League tells TMZ: "It's offensive. It's part of the unintended consequences of the communications revolution. Anybody can say what they do - but reality shows are now giving license to these expressions of anti-Semitism. Now, all of a sudden, the world is privy to their bigotry and it's on national television... then enhanced on YouTube. What they've done is distributed anti-Semitism -- which started as a private conversation -- and by putting it on a reality TV show broadcast it to the world at large. I want CBS to understand they are facilitating anti-Semitism. They should act responsibly to the community; they are legitimizing bigoted conversation."

UPDATE: CBS has issued the following statement:
"BIG BROTHER is a reality show about watching a group of people who have no privacy 24/7 - and seeing every moment of their lives. At times, the Houseguests reveal prejudices and other beliefs that we do not condone. We certainly find the statements made by Amber Siyavus on the live Internet feed to be offensive and they will not be part of any future broadcast on the CBS Television Network.

Any views or opinions expressed in personal commentary by a Houseguest appearing on BIG BROTHER 8, either on any live feed from the House or the broadcast, are those of the individual(s) speaking and do not represent the views or opinions of CBS or the producers of the program."

after looking at all the facts, i believe it should be stated that ambers remarks are not as anti-semetic as they appear... i believe this to actually be one of the finest hybrids of reality television and public service announcements. think about it... anti-drug/anti-teen pregnancy/anti-trailer upbringing/anti-back woods education/anti-ignorance of what a misguided and ill-informed understanding of christianity can do to an inbreed child. it's not even so offensive that she said all she did when you compare it to how sad it is that there are soooo many more just like her.

While i don't agree with the thoughts that were expressed, i feel that i have to side with her for the sole reason that she is an American living in the US - land of the free, First Amendment, etc. What everyone needs to do is stop being so damn sensitive about who they are. our society has become nothing more than the equivalent of a high school class. OMG! that person said t6hey don't like this about me. OMG! ppl are so damn worried about being accepted and validated by others that they forget the only person / ppl they have to validate themselves to are....wait for it....THEMSELVES! who cares if this person doesn't like Jews? that's her opinion. it's her business. not everyone has to agree with something someone says, does, thinks, etc. this whole PC BS nonsense has gotten completely out of hand. now no one can say anything w/o some stupid self-righteous organization coming after them like some kind of fundamentalistic cult trying to dictate to that person why they should censor they're statements because it hurts others feelings. screw that! if someone's feelings get hurt, it's because they're not secure enough in who and what they are to say, " OK, you don't like me. Fine. that's your choice. i'm fine, cuz i accept me and you don't matter". in short, this is still america and if she wants to exercize her First Amendment right to the freedom of speech, then fine. those who don't like it...GET OVER IT!!! there's nowhere in the fine print that says you have the freedom to say what you want unless some overly sensitive crybaby and they're association have something to say about it. if that was the case, no one would be able to say / do anything. because everything that everyone says / does is offending someone everyday. GROW UP AMERICA!!!!

Great with a capital G

This is why it's called REALITY TV people! Ambers comments are her own, she is allowed to think the way she wants to, it has absolutely no bearing on CBS. If Amber is in any way disqualified for her comments CBS would be making a HUGE mistake since they did nothing about the anti-gay slurs that came from the Dude that won Survivor's first season. Airing these comments, which are one woman's observations/opinions on a Reality TV show are not going to mislead the entire country or change what they already believe to be true. People are going to hear Amber's comments and either say, "Wow, what an Idiot!" or "Bingo, she's right on the money!"

Amber is stupid, and perhaps anti-semetic...but did TMZ report it when Kail said all her anti-gay stuff? no...nice double standard.

What a show-some casting director had to really worked to put this group of dull witted
people together- Amber seems clinically depressed, when is she not crying..? II wonder if these contestants really comprehend how they will appear on TV and the impact on their future lives. Amber's daughter is the victim in this show......

Some comments here criticizing the ADL and TMZ are really inane. JEWS ARE AT MOST 1% OF US POPULATION. CHRISTIANS ARE 82% OF US POPULATION. The ADL sticks up for Jewish issues because no one else will. For everybody else its ok if black organizations defend blacks, Christians defend Christians, Muslims defend muslims, etc. But if Jews defend Jews, its not OK! Does 82% of population so need that little 1% to defend it??!!! Its inane to criticze the ADL for not protesting Michael Richards when the whole entertainment world is up at arms over Michael Richards. Not to mention Al Sharpton and the RELEVANT political somebodies. I dont hear these same people upset that AL SHARPTON is not protesting Amber's ANTI-SEMITIC REMARKS! The same commenters upset that TMZ called her a "shiktza" is equally stupid. They arent upset at Amber's statement, only TMZ's clearly satirical fire-back at her. Do you think TMZ looks down on all non-Jewish women? These commenters need to GET A BRAIN CELL!!!

Contemplate

The Shiksa is now being made by the Show to make sure the person she was talking about stay on the show. Up until last night he was going to be voted off the show but she now has to make sure he is kept on the show by the orders of the “Big Wig” and “Eddie”.
