37. This mayor should be ashamed of himself. And to "Sgv," what you said was ridiculous. NOT ALL OF US cheat. It really shows what kind of character you have if you cannot honor and cherish your marriage vows. If there is abuse going on, then that is acceptable, but just to leave your wife for a prettier woman...that's wrong. Then he's going to hurt his children w/ this behavior. How do you think his kids will feel knowing their cheating dad left and hurt their mother for some crazy news reporter who doesn't know how to keep herself away from a married man?

That says alot about her. If she's willing to have a relationship with a married man, and on top of that, allow him to leave his wife for her, then she's CRAZY and that says a lot about her character and what type of woman she is. She should see this as a warning sign that one of these days, he will do the same thing to her.

I hope he enjoyes his temporary greener pasture. His relationship with this reporter is lust...that will wear off in time.

39. This creep should be booted out of office just like the City Attorney, Rocky Delgadillo. I am a native-born Angeleno and these two are not only among the worst polilticians ever, they are both CROOKS.
And we know Mrs. Delgadillo is almost as crooked as her husband.

The local news reported this yesterday and added that the mayor REFUSES TO DISCLOSE FINANCIAL RECORDS as he has been asked to do.

Mirthala should have been FIRED and maybe it is not too late.

40. Back when Paris Hilton was arrested earlier this year, who could have predicted the outcome – that the dummy she is - she would lead to exposing all these corrupt political players? It began with Sheriff Leroy Baca getting free publicity when becoming embroiled over disregarding the Superior Court Judge’s Order and releasing a rich socialite - Paris, to go home with the thingy-ma-jiggy on her ankle.

Los Angeles City Attorney, Rocky Delgadillo who plans to run for Los Angeles County District Attorney soon - wanted some free, publicity like his buddy Leroy – so he seized the opportunity to haul the tearful Paris back into jail to serve a few more weeks of her sentence. Unfortunate for Delgadillo, the praise for returning Paris to jail soon shifted when someone complained that the Los Angeles City Attorney and his wife were a less than stellar couple themselves. Meantime, our narcissist Los Angeles Mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa became jealous that Baca and Delgadillo were getting nation-wide free attention – so he wanted some of that too. The putz calls a Press Conference and exposes his affair with Mirthala Salinas, a television news anchor from Telemundo. Mirthala Salinas, a narcissist power whore in her own right, brightly announces the Mayor’s separation from the mayor’s wife – and in the process manages to expose her own affairs with a California Senator and a former behind-the-scenes player in the office of Congresswoman Dianne Feinstein. (Yeah that Feinstein!!! Now we know how it got to be that since about ten years ago, motivated first-time job hunting high school students, college students, USA military veterans, and even senior citizens on-a-fixed low income cannot get hired for a job at Mc Donalds, Wendy’s, Burger King, IHop, Bank of American, Wells Fargo Bank, to name a few - - but the latino illegal aliens can get hired ) Padillo also worked hard on the campaign to establish Richard Alarcon’s political roots.

Just when the rats are running in all directions to bail off the sinking political ship, along comes TMZ’s “Ivan” and snaps an innocent cell phone photo of the ‘tight jeaned, high-heeled hottie “Mirthala” out shopping with the Mayor on a sunny working-day. Oooooh Mirthala …. You are such an asset to California politics. [emphasis on Ass _ et] Damn, with all the investigators over at the California State Bar, the Office of the California Attorney General, the Office of the California Secretary of State, the Offices of the Los Angeles City and County government – no one could find sufficient proof of wrong doing (maybe they’re all out shopping too) It took a harmless bambi like Paris Hilton and an ambitious tramp like Mirthala to cut through so much crap and expose the corruption at so many levels. Get real and stop buying into the propaganda that as long as your elected official is doing his/her job – what they do on their private time doesn’t matter. We all get screwed!

You're another uninformed person. Lee Baca did nothing wrong. He had every right under the LAW to assign Paris to home detention. The judge reveresed it because of public outrage. Notice that the judge did nothing to Baca? He didn't pursue that matter because Baca did nothing wrong. The Sheriff has a FEDERAL MANDATE that decrees HIM responsible for where prisoners serve their time.

Baca is an excellent Sheriff, a man with 35 years of experience in the Sheriff's department. He also has a Phd from USC. He's the first top law enforcement official in LA who thinks it's wrong to beat the crap out of innocent people. Too bad he can't run the LAPD too.

45. The mayor is getting a divorce, so technically this isn't an affair anymore. She's his girlfriend.

And it's GOOD that the mayor took over the school board. The old board just took bond money and gave it to their rich developer friends. They also refused to build more schools because developers want that land for malls and other things that will make them money. Schools don't make developers rich. The new board is going to cut the bloated bureacracy and hopefully fire the incompetent superintendent.

The mayor's roots in Los Angeles go back 100 years. He knows what he's doing.
