A Better Look at the Brad Garrett B*tch-Slap

8/13/2007 6:04 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

He launched his violent attack just out of the range of our camera, but it turns out someone else was rolling when Brad Garrett unleashed a light-shattering uppercut on a TMZ camera in Malibu last night.

In the footage shot by a photog further away from the action, you can clearly see the 6'8" "Everybody Loves Raymond" star reach down and sucker-slap the camera in front of a crowd of paparazzi, knocking the equipment back into the photog's face. Keep your eye on the light attached to the top of the camera -- Brad knocks it clear out of the frame.

A rep for Garrett had no comment.

Look you stalk these celebs as much as you do and you deserve to be pushed back from time to time. I personally don't blame the celebs.

He's Boring now

So why would any Paps want to get shots of this second bananna? Gosh they must be getting desperate with Lohan out of the scene for anybody. The guy is about as exciting as watching paint dry. Guess it makes sense to try to make the whole incident a big deal so we dont question why you're filming him in the first place. We're not interested in seeing him in a parking lot nor anywhere for that matter. Leave him and every other second fruit alone.

Who is TMZ trying to embarrass by showing this? All of Hollywood hates them and the readers see the paparazzi have turned into dangerous stalkers. So what was the point TMZ?

If your camera man was close enought for Brad to hit it with his hand then he was too close. What is up with them stalking celebrities? My advise is to keep your distance and out of the celebrities' personal space and things like this won't happen. I hardly think that Brad was out of line...more like your camerman was!

Serious overexaggeration on the headline TMZ -- anyone who watches the video will see that he hardly b**ch slapped anyone or anything. He knocked the pap's camera out of his way, nothing more. No wonder you're getting all the angry comments in support of Brad G.

When will celebrities EVER learn that when you become famous you lose your privacy? Hey, I wouldn't mind losing my privacy for all the residual checks he gets from his ex-tv show. Brad, get over yourself!

I don't believe Brad is the type of guy to go around slapping people, but it seemed the camera man was kind of up in his personal space and he was probably trying to protect his lady friend, so you can't blame a guy for being a little ticked off. I don't promote violence, but you have to keep guarded, just my opinion.

Maybe they should leave celebs alone for a few days instead of following them like every day
