SO I AM drinking a stout screwdriver and browsing TMZ after a long day's lawyering and browsing Huffington Post and the Daily Kos, and BAM!!! There he is, John Mayer - dichotomy of dichotomies - lookin' all sexed-up in the latest Gap ad... And I was uncharacteristically going to take a second to post a "holy s*!# he looks hot!," but then I read some of the funny little entries above so I am shifting gears to put a brief smack down....

OK, first of all you silly f*@$s, unlike you all (cough, cough), these celebs are not "traditionally educated." They are ARTISTS - they do not take graduate-level comparative lit classes. So when someone like John Mayer rolls on and is smart, sexy and fork-tongued, let us revel in it for a moment. The dude smokes a vaporizer, laughs at himself and does stand up for f*&@'s sake - I mean, how bad could he truly be? So what that he dated Jessica Simpson???? Maybe he looked at her and saw what she could have been of she hadn't been polluted by Hollywood carbon barbie emissions.

So to post # 9 above of the following fame: "Yes, this guy is boring - boring - boring. And rather ignorant sounding when he opens his mouth too. Who even buys John Mayer's music?????????
Why do all the perfumes and clothes have to carry these semi-stars names? Like those ugly cheaply made clothes named Bitten after Sarah Jessica P. Yuck clothes. And yucky semi-stars.
Personally I refuse to buy the clothes not designed by these people in the first place. Haven't we all put enough money into these people's pockets? Why give them more?"

I was John's biggest fan from the beginng, when little was known of him.

It wasn't that he dated Simpson. It's that it turned out that he didn't even believe in and respect himself enough to refrain from the cheap/ empty forms of attention. He turned out to be (dispite acting like he doesn't want it ) just another needy / appeal to the masses/ want everybody to know and love me/ media/ attention whore.
Lost the once, tremendous, respect that I had for him.

Its hard to stick with you for all these years when you keep doin' things that look and sound like sellin' out. How 'bout you keep makin your music and practicin' what you've been preachin' at all these concerts that I've shelled tons of dough out over the years.
Gap? Man, I was at a concert of yours in Raleigh, NC in December '02. You were talking to the crowds about "St. Patrick's Day," and you guys brought the the jingle bells out "To give us some Christmas Spirit. And not the kind you find in a commercial for a sweater from the GAP."
And now it's hard to stick with you when your damn face is "a commercial for a shirt from the GAP."
