33. It's really funny how people say that he's boring when they've never even met him. Have you ever heard "Don't judge a book by its cover?" To me JM is what all musicians should aspire to be. Plain and simple he rocks. And he never puts out bad music and he's played with the best of them.. one of them being Eric Clapton. So don't knock him until you know what he's all about and have listened to his music. I personally love his bluesy stuff more than the pop . Real music fans like John Mayer not because of what he looks like but because his music gets you right here (points to chest)

I must be listening to different music than some of the posters, I think John is multi talented, he can sing, write, play guitar ....he's pretty funny, bet he could do stand-up comedy if he choose too. Why not take the time and listen to GRAVITY & SLOW DANCING IN A BURNING ROOM before you state he's boring....he's extremely talented, he's been truly blessed.

James Morrison - is the man...he is the "if it doesn't come from here (touch the chest thing) don't do it".....hell, I knew there was a reason John wanted to tour with James - to trick people into believing he was James. These two are as opposite as Joss Stone and Paris Hilton.

James is the King of Hearts, Mayer the Queen of Spades.

James is the cool/cute one, John is the wannabe cool/cute one. John is THE fake double. A wimp. Stealing the images of cool people, like we really believe he can pull off being James Morrison or looking like Johnny Depp or James Dean in this photo. Something is very wrong with this picture. I get what Roseanne Barr meant about Barbara Walters head....all I see is Herman Munster when i look at Mayer. Squirt him like Tom 007.

37. Well I like him, I like his music and I read his blog and find him intelligent and witty.
One has to really think about what he says and that turns alot of people off, most here have ADD and just don't get him..

45. Number 13, I agree with you. He's been sending mixed messages for too long. I used to be a fan of his since around 2000, back when NOBODY knew who he was. Now, I have difficulty defending him,and can barely stand him or the new incarnation of him. He sold his soul to be in the tabloids by dating a blow-up doll. He's talented singer/songwriter, blues-guitar player, but he hadn't proven that in his first two albums. The Trio album and Continuum were good, but he still had too much pop stuff on them. Who is he? A blues man or a pop star? An intellect or a Himbo? A environmentalist who urges fans to go green or a consumerist who brags about his collection of sneakers and cars? He needs to get his act straight, especially since he's 30 now.
