16. Um......I actually read a pre-pub copy of her book and it was a fun read. I picked it up at a trade show. I know, I know - I was skeptical too. But I give her kudos.

17. And??

It always amazes me to see what is being reported as "new stories" here, as well as a few other places. I am still at a loss to understand why this made it.

And the comments never fail to bring out the best in all of humanity.....i.e..."Dude I'd hit that." ?????

18. Whatever Courtney does, I'm in. She's about the hottest woman on the planet. I'm glad she's raking $$ with Jim, but it's such a ridiculous premise - like that flabby shlub could ever get someone of her caliber. She's royalty, he's a peasant.
I'm already on line waiting for her book signing.
When it's my turn, I will tell her "I will be thinking about you later while I'm whacking it."

19. Gawker has actually, you know, read the book and says it is quite good. So, all you people who are commenting here, do you actually read books or just make fun of people who write them? And, TMZ, why not read it yourself before ripping?

21. #16...this is an entertainment blog you moron so proper grammer and punctuation is not required. Secondly...why insult someone who was merely voicing an opinion? Pretty immature if you ask me. But thanks for the advise.

22. She should have called it "According to Courtney"

23. Wait a minute. Wait - a - minute. "Courtney Thorne-Smith to Become a Novelist"? Isn't that like saying, "Courtney Thorne-Smith Crossed the Street....Brushed Her Teeth" Where is the story? Why doesn't TMZ wait until CT-S actually writes something to hype her writing skills or lack thereof. ....Slow news day?

24. After 5 successful years of Melrose, she had 3 years of Ally McBeal and now 6 years, so far, on According to Jim. Hot, still in her 30's and BRINGING HOME THE BACON....what's not to admire?! I'm sure she writes better than Pam Anderson, another "novelist"...

25. How 'bout this? Read it, then comment. You guys sound like those right wing religious fanatics who condemn movies before they've seen them because hey, they were made by gays/Jews/pot smokers/non-virgins/JK Rowling so how could they be good? I've read the book and it's hilariously funny.

26. 10. Isn't she on According to Jim?

She has been on the show for 5 or 6 years & probably has made quite a bit of money from it. Now that she is financially independent, I think its great that she wants to try her hand at writing. You know what they say, when you don't have to work, you can do what you enjoy doing.

27. If she can write even half as good as she looks then her book will sell out!

I think she deserves a chance just for putting up with JB on the show for the last 6 years.

Trying to show class and maturity here SO I will just close with

"GET A LOAD OF THE CANS ON THAT BIMBO!"

28. I fell in love with Courtney's book, "Outside In". You guys shouldn't be giving such harsh review if you haven't even read the book yet. I was mesmerized to read page after page of literary genius. I laughed a lot and even cried at some point. Courtney definitely deserves more credit than all those celebrities who have tried to pen down a book before her.
